BIG RAPIDS, Mich. – The University of Central Missouri Mules golf team improved to sitting in second after Round two of the NCAA Central and Midwest Regional on Friday, May 8th at the Katke Golf Course in Big Rapids. The Mules jumped up three spots after going 8-under par to score of 574 (294, 280), totaling 2-under.
No. 5 Grand Valley State is in first after going 3-under par. In third is Winona State, which made par.Â
Junior
CJ Phillips is sitting in first after going 6-under par (68, 66) in the second round to total 10-under in the tournament. He currently has a five-stroke gap from second place. Â Phillips recorded another eagle on the front nine and six birdies today.Â
Brooks Baldwin is tied in 11th after carding 69 (-3). He recorded four birdies and is 1-under par after the second round. In a tie at 46th is
Lawson Barks, who made par today and is currently 6-over par. Freshman
Kale Flinton carded a 151 (78, 73) for 7-over to sit in a tie in 53rd.Â
Andrew Whittaker rounds out the Mules, totaling a 155 (74, 81) to sit tied in 82nd at 11-over par.Â
The Mules tee off in the final round of the D-II Central/Midwest Regional on Saturday, May 9.
