CARY, N.C. – The NCAA Division II Central Region Champion University of Central Missouri Mules Baseball team will be the No. 4 seed in the 2026 NCAA Division II College World Series and will face the No. 5 seed University of Texas at Tyler Patriots in an opening round game on Friday, May 29, at 12:30 p.m. CT (1:30 p.m. ET) at the USA Baseball National Training Complex in Cary, North Carolina, it was announced by the NCAA Sunday, May 24.
The Mules (39-15) received the No. 4 seed in the eight-team, double-elimination field after defeating the Augustana (S.D.) Vikings in a best-of-three NCAA-II Super Regional May 21-22 in Warrensburg, Mo., winning game one, 6-1, and game two, 10-1.
This is the 22nd time in program history that Central Missouri has earned a spot in the World Series, including the sixth time under head coach
Kyle Crookes.
The Mules and Patriots (48-12) have never met on the baseball diamond.
