Mules and Jennies Golf Both Picked in Top Five of 2026-27 MIAA Golf Preseason Coaches’ Polls

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA) released its 2026-27 Preseason Men's and Women's Golf Coaches' Polls on Thursday, Sept. 3, and both the Mules and Jennies were picked in the top five.

The Mules were picked third with 69 points and two first-place votes, while the Jennies were voted fourth with 98 points and two first-place votes.

On the men's side, Central Oklahoma was tabbed the preseason favorite with 77 points and five first-place votes, followed by Washburn in second with 71 points and three first-place votes, and UCM in third.

In the women's rankings, Rogers State was picked at the top spot with 110 points and three first-place votes, followed by Washburn in second with 106 points and four first-place votes. Nebraska Kearney was third with 101 points and three first-place votes, rounding out the top three.

The Mules open their 2026-27 season at home, hosting The MULE Sept. 8-9 at Mules National Golf Club in Warrensburg, while the Jennies begin their season Sept. 28-29 at the Dallas Baptist Classic at the Dallas Athletic Club in Dallas, Texas.
