WARRENSBURG, Mo. — Central Missouri Mules Golf sits in second place after the opening 36 holes of the Mule on Tuesday at Mules National Golf Club.
The Mules opened their fall season at home with Team Red (
Will Boyd,
Kale Flinton,
Henry Manning,
Archer Schnieders and
Brad Storrer) carding a 3-under-par 557 to secure second place. No. 10 Central Oklahoma leads the field at 18-under-par 542, while Missouri Southern is in third at 1-over-par 561. Team Black (
Lawson Barks,
Carter Boynton,
Garrett McIntosh and
C.T. Norris) is tied for 12th with Pittsburg State at 19-over-par 579.
Lawson Barks leads the Mules individually, carding a 4-under-par 136 (68,68). The junior is tied for fourth after recording seven birdies in each round.
Henry Manning also collected seven birdies, shooting a 3-under-par 137 (68,69) to sit in seventh place.
Kale Flinton is tied for 12th at even-par 141 (71,69), highlighted by an eagle on the fifth hole during the second round.
Archer Schnieders and
Brad Storrer both finished the day tied for 15th at 1-over-par. Schnieders opened with a 70 and followed with a 71, while Storrer, making his debut as a Mule, bounced back from a first-round 73 to shoot a 2-under 68 in the afternoon.
Will Boyd is tied for 25th at 3-over-par (71,72).
Garrett McIntosh is tied for 34th at 4-over-par 144 after carding an even-par 70 in the morning and a 74 in the second round.
C.T. Norris recovered from a 9-over-par first round to shoot even par in the afternoon, putting him in a tie for 61st. Freshman
Carter Boynton rounds out the field tied for 67th at 10-over-par.
The Mules conclude play on Wednesday with a 9 a.m. shotgun start.
