FIRST PITCH 
  • Central Missouri Jennies softball continues MIAA play, hosting a trio of doubleheaders, beginning Tuesday, April 7, against the Northeastern State RiverHawks, with game one's first pitch slated for noon from Jennies Field at the South Recreation Complex in Warrensburg.  
  • The Jennies will host the Washburn Ichabods on Friday, April 10, during Campus Cupboard Day, beginning at 2:00 p.m., before a pair of games against the Emporia State Hornets on Sunday, April 12, during Cancer Awareness Day, with game one's first pitch scheduled for 1:00 p.m.  
  • Friday's doubleheader with Washburn will be our annual Campus Cupboard Day, where fans can receive admission with the donation of canned goods.     
  • Prior to Sunday afternoon's contests with the Hornets, there will be a ceremonial first pitch during Cancer Awareness Day.
  • The Jens swept a doubleheader with the (Receiving Votes) Rogers State Hillcats, winning by final scores of 7-5 and 5-2, on Saturday, April 4, from Jennies Field at the South Recreation Complex in Warrensburg.
  • During their 10-1 (5 inn.) victory in game one against Northwest Missouri (March 28) in Maryville, Central Missouri hit four home runs in the ballgame, the most in a single game since March 19, 2024, when the Jens defeated Lincoln 8-0 (5 inn.) in Warrensburg.

  • Each doubleheader will be available on a pay-per-view basis through the MIAA Network, with coverage beginning at noon on Tuesday, 2:00 p.m. on Friday afternoon, and 1:00 p.m. on Sunday.

MEET THE JENS  
 
JENS AROUND THE DIAMOND
  • Central Missouri returns seven position starters and three pitchers from a season ago as the Jens went 30-19 overall, and 14-10 in MIAA play.
  • Through 36 games, Central Missouri has a .296 team batting average, scoring 5.9 runs per game, stealing 74 bases on 87 total attempts, and sporting a .963 fielding percentage with 13 double plays made.
  • The Jens have a team ERA of 3.37 through 36 games this season, while Andi Siebeneck paces the staff with a 9-4 record. Bailey Brumley leads the team with 44 strikeouts, while Madelyn Ducheneaux has a .201 batting average against for good measure.  

 
CENTRAL MISSOURI AT THE PLATE
  • Three Jens are hitting above .300 on the year, including Lexi Blackmon (.380), Bailey Brumley (.370), and Kyrsten Moran (.355).
  • Central Missouri features two players with double-digit home runs on the year, in Marisa Johnson with 12 and Taylor Thompson with 11. This is the first time UCM has had multiple players hit double-digit blasts since the 2010 season when three Jens posted that mark.
  • Three Jens are batting over .300 with runners in scoring position on the year, including Bailey Brumley (.477), Taylor Thompson (.400), and Kyrsten Moran (.333).
  • UCM is outscoring their opponents in the sixth and seventh innings by a margin of 58-29 on the year, while being 10-3 when the margin of victory in the ballgame is five or more runs.
 
 
SERIES HISTORY
  • Northeastern State: Tuesday's doubleheader will be the 39th and 40th all-time meetings between the RiverHawks and Central Missouri, with the Jens holding a 21-17 advantage. Last season, the Jens split a doubleheader with NSU, taking game one by a final score of 5-0, on Friday, March 28, from RiverHawks Park in Tahlequah, Okla.
  • Washburn: Friday afternoon's doubleheader between Washburn and the Jens will be the 106th and 107th all-time meetings, with UCM holding a 53-52 advantage. Last season, both teams split the doubleheader, with the Jens taking game one by a final score of 10-8 (8 inn.) on Sunday, April 6, from Gahnstrom Field in Topeka, Kan.
  • Emporia State: Sunday's doubleheader will be the 112th and 113th meetings between the Hornets and Central Missouri, with ESU leading the all-time series 65-46. Last season, the Jens won both meetings by final scores of 7-2 (9 inn.) and 6-2 on Monday, April 7, from Turnbull Field in Emporia.  
 
 
UCM DURING THE ANDERSON ERA
  • Susan Anderson is in her 20th season as head coach of the Jennies, where she is the second-winningest coach in program history with a record of 582-437 (.571). She became just the second coach in program history to eclipse 500 wins, doing so in game two of a double header against Fort Hays State (April 16, 2023) on Senior Day.
  • Since her return to Warrensburg in 2006, Anderson was the fastest coach to accomplish 100 wins, doing so in just three seasons while making 16 MIAA tournaments, five regional tournaments, and one Elite Eight appearance.
  • The 2015 Regional Coach of the Year has been named MIAA Coach of the Year three times in her career (twice named as head coach of the Jens) while coaching 20 first team All-MIAA selections, nine All-Region selections, two All-Americans, and one MIAA MVP.
