FIRST PITCH 
  • Central Missouri Jennies softball continues MIAA play with a doubleheader against (Receiving Votes) Rogers State Hillcats, during Military Appreciation / Meet the Jennies Day, on Saturday, April 4, beginning at noon, from Jennies Field at the South Recreation Complex.     
  • Prior to first pitch Saturday afternoon, there will be a ceremonial first pitch during Military Appreciation Day against the Hillcats.
  • After the conclusion of game two against the Hillcats, members of the Jennies will be available for an autograph session with a complementary schedule poster while supplies last.
  • The Jens split a doubleheader with the Rockhurst Hawks, winning game two by a final score of 7-4, on Tuesday, March 31, from Loyola Park Softball Field in Kansas City, Mo.
  • During their 10-1 (5 inn.) victory in game one against Northwest Missouri (March 28) in Maryville, Central Missouri hit four home runs in the ballgame, the most in a single game since March 19, 2024, when the Jens defeated Lincoln 8-0 (5 inn.) in Warrensburg.

MEET THE JENS  

JENS AROUND THE DIAMOND
  • Central Missouri returns seven position starters and three pitchers from a season ago as the Jens went 30-19 overall, and 14-10 in MIAA play.
  • Through 34 games, Central Missouri has a .295 team batting average, scoring 5.9 runs per game, stealing 69 bases on 81 total attempts, and sporting a .962 fielding percentage with 13 double plays made.
  • The Jens have a team ERA of 3.39 through 34 games this season, while Andi Siebeneck paces the staff with an 8-4 record. Bailey Brumley leads the team with 39 strikeouts, while Madelyn Ducheneaux has a .203 batting average against for good measure.  

 
CENTRAL MISSOURI AT THE PLATE
  • Four Jens are hitting above .300 on the year, including Bailey Brumley (.377), Lexi Blackmon (.362), Kyrsten Moran (.360), and Taylor Thompson (.305).
  • Central Missouri features two players with double-digit home runs on the year, including Taylor Thompson with 11 and Marisa Johnson with 10. This is the first time UCM has had multiple players hit double-digit blasts since the 2010 season when three Jens posted that mark.
  • Four Jens are batting over .300 with runners in scoring position on the year, including Bailey Brumley (.488), Taylor Thompson (.405), Kyrsten Moran (.350), and Aly Hageman (.308).
  • UCM is outscoring their opponents in the sixth and seventh innings by a margin of 56-27 on the year, while being 10-3 when the margin of victory in the ballgame is five or more runs.
 

SERIES HISTORY
  • RV Rogers State: Saturday's doubleheader will be the 16th and 17th all-time meetings between the Hillcats and Central Missouri, with Rogers State holding a 10-5 advantage. Last season, the Jens split a doubleheader with RSU, taking game two by a final score of 5-2, on Saturday, March 29, from Diamond Sports Complex in Claremore, Okla.
 

UCM DURING THE ANDERSON ERA
  • Susan Anderson is in her 20th season as head coach of the Jennies, where she is the second-winningest coach in program history with a record of 559-426 (.568). She became just the second coach in program history to eclipse 500 wins, doing so in game two of a double header against Fort Hays State (April 16, 2023) on Senior Day.
  • Since her return to Warrensburg in 2006, Anderson was the fastest coach to accomplish 100 wins, doing so in just three seasons while making 16 MIAA tournaments, five regional tournaments, and one Elite Eight appearance.
  • The 2015 Regional Coach of the Year has been named MIAA Coach of the Year three times in her career (twice named as head coach of the Jens) while coaching 20 first team All-MIAA selections, nine All-Region selections, two All-Americans, and one MIAA MVP.
