 FIRST PITCH 
  • Central Missouri Jennies softball will conclude a six-game road trip with a doubleheader on Tuesday, April 21, against the Missouri-St. Louis Tritons (21-19, 14-6 GLVC), with game one's first pitch slated for 2:00 p.m. from UMSL Softball Field in St. Louis, Mo.      
  • The Jens went 1-3 this past weekend on the road, with a doubleheader split with No. 11 Missouri Southern on Friday, April 17, taking game on by a final score of 7-5 from Pat Lipira Softball Complex in Joplin, before dropping a pair of games to No. 2 Pittsburg State Saturday, April 18.   
  • During their 10-1 (5 inn.) victory in game one against Northwest Missouri (March 28) in Maryville, Central Missouri hit four home runs in the ballgame, the most in a single game since March 19, 2024, when the Jens defeated Lincoln 8-0 (5 inn.) in Warrensburg.

JENS AROUND THE DIAMOND
  • Central Missouri returns seven position starters and three pitchers from a season ago as the Jens went 30-19 overall, and 14-10 in MIAA play.
  • Through 44 games, Central Missouri has a .306 team batting average, scoring six runs per game, stealing 88 bases on 102 total attempts, and sporting a .966 fielding percentage with 15 double plays made.
  • The Jens have a team ERA of 3.30 through 44 games this season, while Andi Siebeneck paces the staff with an 11-4 record. Bailey Brumley leads the team with 57 strikeouts, and Madelyn Ducheneaux has a .210 batting average against for good measure.  
 
 
CENTRAL MISSOURI AT THE PLATE
  • Five Jens are hitting above .300 on the year, including Lexi Blackmon (.387), Kyrsten Moran (.381), Marisa Johnson (.355), Bailey Brumley (.350), and Taylor Thompson (.304).
  • Central Missouri features two players with double-digit home runs on the year, including Taylor Thompson, who leads the team with 15, while Marisa Johnson has 13. This is the first time UCM has had multiple players hit double-digit blasts since the 2010 season, when three Jens posted that mark.
  • Five Jens are batting over .300 with runners in scoring position on the year, including Bailey Brumley (.440), Taylor Thompson (.404), Kyrsten Moran (.346), Marisa Johnson (.341), and Lexi Blackmon (.300).
  • UCM is outscoring its opponents in the sixth and seventh innings by a margin of 69-35 on the year, while being 14-3 when the margin of victory in the ballgame is five or more runs.
 
 
SERIES HISTORY
  • Missouri-St. Louis: Tuesday's doubleheader will be the 56th and 57th all-time meetings between the Tritons and Central Missouri, with the Jens holding a 38-17 advantage. The Jens have won six of the last seven matchups with UMSL and are 9-5 in St. Louis, following a doubleheader sweep of the Tritons during the 2024 season. Central Missouri defeated UMSL earlier in the 2026 season by a final score of 3-2, during the final game of the Lonestar DII College Classic on Saturday, Jan. 31, in Mansfield, Texas.  
 
 
UCM DURING THE ANDERSON ERA
  • Susan Anderson is in her 20th season as head coach of the Jennies, where she is the second-winningest coach in program history with a record of 585-440 (.571). She became just the second coach in program history to eclipse 500 wins, doing so in game two of a double header against Fort Hays State (April 16, 2023) on Senior Day.
  • Since her return to Warrensburg in 2006, Anderson was the fastest coach to accomplish 100 wins, doing so in just three seasons while making 16 MIAA tournaments, five regional tournaments, and one Elite Eight appearance.
  • The 2015 Regional Coach of the Year has been named MIAA Coach of the Year three times in her career (twice named as head coach of the Jens) while coaching 20 first team All-MIAA selections, nine All-Region selections, two All-Americans, and one MIAA MVP.
