FIRST PITCH 
  • Central Missouri Jennies softball continues the 2026 campaign with a pair of ballgames against the Rockhurst Hawks on Tuesday, March 31, with game one's first pitch slated for 3:00 p.m. from Loyola Park Softball Field in Kansas City, Mo.   
  • The Jens went 1-3 this past weekend, dropping both games of a doubleheader with the Missouri Western State Griffons, before splitting with the Northwest Missouri Bearcats, winning game one by a final score of 10-1 (5 inn.).
  • During their 10-1 (5 inn.) victory in game one against the Bearcats, Central Missouri hit four home runs in the ballgame, the most in a single game since March 19, 2024, when the Jens defeated Lincoln 8-0 (5 inn.) in Warrensburg.   
  • Redshirt senior outfielder Lexi Blackmon has achieved 150 career hits as a Jen, doing so during game one of a doubleheader against MoWest this past Friday in St. Joseph, Mo.

JENS AROUND THE DIAMOND
  • Central Missouri returns seven position starters and three pitchers from a season ago as the Jens went 30-19 overall, and 14-10 in MIAA play.
  • Through 32 games, Central Missouri has a .297 team batting average, scoring 5.9 runs per game, stealing 62 bases on 74 total attempts, and sporting a .965 fielding percentage.
  • The Jens are outscoring their opponents in the sixth and seventh innings by a margin of 52-26 on the year, while being 1-0 in extra-inning games in 2026.
  • Five Central Missouri batters are hitting above .300 on the year including Bailey Brumley (.380), Kyrsten Moran (.358), Lexi Blackmon (.345), Marisa Johnson (.315), and Aly Hageman (.310).  
  • The Jens have a team ERA of 3.42 through 32 games this season, while Andi Siebeneck paces the staff with an 8-4 record. Bailey Brumley leads the team with 37 strikeouts in 51 innings pitched, while Madelyn Ducheneaux has a .203 batting average against for good measure.  
 
 
SERIES HISTORY
  • Rockhurst: Tuesday's doubleheader will be the 19th and 20th all-time meetings between the Hawks and Central Missouri, with the Jens holding an 11-7 advantage. Last season, the Jens split a doubleheader with Rockhurst, taking game one by a final score of 4-3, on Tuesday, April 22, from Jennies Field at the South Recreation Complex in Warrensburg.
 
 
UCM DURING THE ANDERSON ERA
  • Susan Anderson is in her 20th season as head coach of the Jennies, where she is the second-winningest coach in program history with a record of 579-436 (.570). She became just the second coach in program history to eclipse 500 wins, doing so in game two of a double header against Fort Hays State (April 16, 2023) on Senior Day.
  • Since her return to Warrensburg in 2006, Anderson was the fastest coach to accomplish 100 wins, doing so in just three seasons while making 16 MIAA tournaments, five regional tournaments, and one Elite Eight appearance.
  • The 2015 Regional Coach of the Year has been named MIAA Coach of the Year three times in her career (twice named as head coach of the Jens) while coaching 20 first team All-MIAA selections, nine All-Region selections, two All-Americans, and one MIAA MVP.
