FIRST PITCH 
  • Central Missouri Jennies softball continues MIAA play with a pair of doubleheaders beginning Friday, March 27, against the MoWest Griffons with game one's first pitch slated for 2:00 p.m. from Griffon Softball Field in St. Joseph, Mo.   
  • The Jens conclude the road-trip on Saturday, March 28, as they take on the Northwest Missouri Bearcats for a pair of games. First pitch of game one is scheduled for noon, from Bearcat Softball Field in Maryville.  
  • Central Missouri swept a pair of games against the Quincy Hawks on Tuesday afternoon by scores of 10-3 and 3-0, from Jennies Field at the South Recreation Complex in Warrensburg.

  • All four games will be available on a pay-per-view basis through the MIAA Network, with coverage beginning at 2:00 p.m. on Friday in St. Joesph, and noon Saturday in Maryville.

MEET THE JENS  
 
JENS AROUND THE DIAMOND
  • Central Missouri returns seven position starters and three pitchers from a season ago as the Jens went 30-19 overall, and 14-10 in MIAA play.
  • Through 28 games, Central Missouri has a .302 team batting average, scoring 5.9 runs per game, stealing 59 bases on 69 total attempts, and sporting a .968 fielding percentage.
  • The Jens are outscoring their opponents in the sixth and seventh innings by a margin of 51-22 on the year, while being 1-0 in extra-inning games in 2026.
  • Four Central Missouri batters are hitting above .300 on the year including Lexi Blackmon (.373), Bailey Brumley (.372), Kyrsten Moran (.371), and Aly Hageman (.323).  
  • The Jens have a team ERA of 3.07 through 28 games this season, while Andi Siebeneck paces the staff with an 8-3 record. Bailey Brumley leads the team with 31 strikeouts in 40 2/3 innings pitched, while Madelyn Ducheneaux has a .203 batting average against for good measure.  
 
 
SERIES HISTORY
  • MoWest: Friday's doubleheader will be the 104th and 105th all-time meetings between the Griffons and Central Missouri, with the Jens holding a 65-38 advantage. Last season, UCM swept its meetings with a pair of victories by final scores of 3-0 and 8-6, on Saturday, March 22, from Jennies Field at the South Recreation Complex in Warrensburg.
  • Northwest Missouri: Saturday will be the 136th and 137th all-time meetings between the Bearcats and Central Missouri, with Northwest holding a 69-66 advantage. Last season, both teams split the doubleheader with UCM taking game one by a final score of 5-3 on Tuesday, March 18, from Jennies Field at the South Recreation Complex in Warrensburg.  
 
 
UCM DURING THE ANDERSON ERA
  • Susan Anderson is in her 20th season as head coach of the Jennies, where she is the second-winningest coach in program history with a record of 558-425 (.568). She became just the second coach in program history to eclipse 500 wins, doing so in game two of a double header against Fort Hays State (April 16, 2023) on Senior Day.
  • Since her return to Warrensburg in 2006, Anderson was the fastest coach to accomplish 100 wins, doing so in just three seasons while making 16 MIAA tournaments, five regional tournaments, and one Elite Eight appearance.
  • The 2015 Regional Coach of the Year has been named MIAA Coach of the Year three times in her career (twice named as head coach of the Jens) while coaching 20 first team All-MIAA selections, nine All-Region selections, two All-Americans, and one MIAA MVP.
