FIRST PITCH 
  • Central Missouri Jennies softball continues MIAA play with a pair of doubleheaders beginning Friday, March 20, against the Newman Jets, with game one's first pitch slated for 2:00 p.m. from Newman Softball Field in Wichita, Kan.  
  • The Jens will conclude the four-game road trip on Saturday, March 21, as they take on No. 17 Central Oklahoma Bronchos for a pair of games, beginning at noon from Gerry Pinkston Stadium in Edmond, Okla.    
  • Central Missouri opened the newly renovated Jennies Field at the South Recreation Complex in Warrensburg with a doubleheader split of the Fort Hays State Tigers on Friday, March 13, taking game one by a final score of 7-1.    
 
 
 WHAT'S THE COUNT? 
  • All four games this weekend will be available on a pay-per-view basis through the MIAA Network, with the doubleheader against the Jets beginning at 2:00 p.m. from Newman Softball Field in Wichita, before Saturday's pair of games against No. 17 Central Oklahoma start at noon from Edmond, Okla.

 MEET THE JENS  
 
 JENS AROUND THE DIAMOND
  • Central Missouri returns seven position starters and three pitchers from a season ago as the Jens went 30-19 overall, and 14-10 in MIAA play.
  • Through 22 games, Central Missouri has a .301 team batting average, scoring 5.9 runs per game, stealing 51 bases on 55 total attempts, and sporting a .976 fielding percentage.
  • The Jens are outscoring their opponents in the sixth and seventh innings by a margin of 41-17 on the year, while being 1-0 in extra-inning games in 2026.
  • Five Central Missouri batters are hitting above .300 on the year including Kyrsten Moran (.385), Lexi Blackmon (.377), Bailey Brumley (.354), Aly Hageman (.346), and Taylor Thompson (.300).  
  • The Jens have a team ERA of 3.08 through 22 games this season, while Andi Siebeneck paces the staff with a 6-2 record. Riley Bebb leads the team with 28 strikeouts in 44 2/3 innings pitched, while Madelyn Ducheneaux has a .178 batting average against for good measure.  
 
 
SERIES HISTORY
  • Newman: Friday's doubleheader will be the 12th and 13th all-time meetings between the Jets and Central Missouri, with the Jens holding an 11-0 advantage. Last season, UCM swept its meetings with a pair of victories by final scores of 8-0 (6 inn.) and 9-2, on Friday, April 18, during Senior Day from Jennies Field at the South Recreation Complex in Warrensburg.
  • No. 17 Central Oklahoma: Saturday's pair of games will be the 50th and 51st all-time meetings between Central Oklahoma and the Jens, with the Bronchos holding a 26-23 lead in the series. A season ago, both teams split a doubleheader in Warrensburg, with UCM taking game one by a final score of 3-2, thanks to a career-best 13 strikeouts from Brooke Weimer.    
 
 
UCM DURING THE ANDERSON ERA
  • Susan Anderson is in her 20th season as head coach of the Jennies, where she is the second-winningest coach in program history with a record of 558-425 (.568). She became just the second coach in program history to eclipse 500 wins, doing so in game two of a double header against Fort Hays State (April 16, 2023) on Senior Day.
  • Since her return to Warrensburg in 2006, Anderson was the fastest coach to accomplish 100 wins, doing so in just three seasons while making 16 MIAA tournaments, five regional tournaments, and one Elite Eight appearance.
  • The 2015 Regional Coach of the Year has been named MIAA Coach of the Year three times in her career (twice named as head coach of the Jens) while coaching 20 first team All-MIAA selections, nine All-Region selections, two All-Americans, and one MIAA MVP.
