WARRENSBURG, Mo. – University of Central Missouri Athletics will be hosting watch parties for all Mules and Jennies Basketball NCAA Division II Central Regional games, beginning Friday, March 13. This marks the first time since the 2013-14 season that both teams have qualified for the national tournament during the same season.
Heroes Restaurant & Pub, located at 107 West Pine Street in downtown Warrensburg, will host the official watch parties for both teams throughout the tournament. All UCM fans who are unable to make the trip to either regional site are invited to cheer on the Mules and Jennies and enjoy exclusive food and drink specials.
The fourth-seeded Jennies (25-6, 17-2 MIAA) will take on fellow MIAA member No. 5 Washburn (24-7, 14-5 MIAA) on Friday, March 13, with tip-off slated for 7:30 p.m. inside the Taylor Center in Mankato, Minn. Heroes will offer food and drink specials from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday for the Jennies' first round contest.
The third-seeded Mules (23-9, 14-5 MIAA) will begin their quest for a fifth national title on Saturday, March 14, against the seven-seed Rogers State Hillcats (21-10, 13-6 MIAA), at noon from Lee Arena, in Topeka, Kan. Heroes will offer food and drink specials from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday for the Mules' opening round contest.
