- University of Central Missouri Jennies Basketball (21-5, 15-2 MIAA) is scheduled to wrap its 2025-26 regular season schedule with a pair of home MIAA games inside the Jerry M. Hughes Athletics Center in Warrensburg against the Missouri Southern Lions (19-7, 13-4 MIAA) on Wednesday, Feb. 25, at 5:30 p.m. and the Pittsburg State Gorillas (18-8, 11-6 MIAA) on Saturday, Feb. 28, at 1 p.m.
- Entering Wednesday, the Jennies have won nine straight games and 15 out of their last 16 contests.
- If the Jennies win on Wednesday, UCM will clinch at least a share of the 2025-26 MIAA Regular Season Championship. It would be the 13th MIAA Regular Season Title in program history and the first since 2019-20.
- The Jennies' nine-game winning streak is the longest since 2023-24.

- Reese Schaaf became the 32nd Jennies Basketball player to net at least 1,000 career points at UCM after converting a layup with 49 seconds to go in the first quarter against Washburn on Feb. 7. Entering Wednesday, she has 1,091 career points and 565 rebounds.
REESE SCHAAF, TAYLOR WEISHAAR AMONG JENNIES' CAREER LEADERS
- Reese Schaaf is tied for fourth in career rebounding for the Jennies with 9.7 rebounds per game in 58 career contests. In addition, she is fourth in free-throw percentage at .844 (232-of-275) and fourth in scoring average at 18.8 points per game.
- Taylor Weishaar is fourth in career blocks for the Jennies with 110 swats in 58 career games.
REESE SCHAAF EARNS SECOND MIAA WOMEN'S BASKETBALL ATHLETE OF THE WEEK HONORS
- For the second time this season, University of Central Missouri Jennies Basketball's Reese Schaaf has been voted the MIAA Women's Basketball Athlete of the Week, it was announced on Monday, Feb. 23, by the conference office. Schaaf averaged a double-double on the week with 20 points and 13 rebounds in the Jennies' two wins at Rogers State and Central Oklahoma Feb. 19 and 21. On the week, Schaaf was 13-of-25 from the floor (50 percent), 5-of-7 from three-point range (71 percent), and 9-of-11 at the free-throw line for 82 percent.
JENNIES IN THE RANKINGS
- The Jennies continue to receive votes in the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Division II Top 25 Poll. UCM received 16 votes in the latest poll released Tuesday, Feb. 24.
- The first NCAA-II Central Regional Rankings of the 2025-26 season were released by the NCAA on Wednesday, Feb. 18. The first rankings are listed in alphabetical order, and the Jennies are among the 10 teams.
LAST TIME OUT: JENNIES STOMP BRONCHOS, 79-44, UPPING WINNING STREAK TO NINE GAMES
- Hayden Heim netted a career-high 20 points, and Reese Schaaf posted her 14th double-double of the season, leading the University of Central Missouri Jennies Basketball team to a 79-44 victory over the Central Oklahoma Bronchos on Saturday afternoon, Feb. 21, inside Hamilton Field House.
- Central Missouri outscored Central Oklahoma in the first quarter, 21-8, and never looked back on its way to the 35-point win.
- Heim went 9-of-20 from the field and 1-of-1 at the free-throw line for her career-best 20 points and added eight rebounds and a career-high four blocks, while Schaaf was 5-of-9 from the floor, including a perfect 3-of-3 from three-point range, and 4-of-5 at the free-throw line for 17 points and snagged 12 rebounds for her team and MIAA-best 14th double-double of 2025-26. Taylor Weishaar also reached double figures in the game, tallying 14 points, rounding out the UCM leaders.
- For the game, the Jennies shot 50 percent from the field (31-of-62) and were 10-of-23 from three-point range for 44 percent. UCM made 7-of-9 free-throw attempts for 78 percent.
- The Jennies outrebounded the Bronchos (9-17, 4-13 MIAA), 43-35, and outscored UCO in the paint, 36-24.
PRESEASON PICKS
- The Jennies were voted fourth in both the 2025-26 MIAA Preseason Coaches' Poll and MIAA Preseason Media Poll. UCM received 138 points and one first-place vote in the preseason coaches' poll and 271 points and four first-place votes in the preseason media poll.

- The Jennies have seven newcomers for 2025-26, including six high school freshmen and one junior college transfer.
- The new high school freshmen are G Amaria Musick (Bixby, Okla.), G Makenzie Farmer (De Soto, Kan.), G/F Jayla Griffith (Columbia, Mo.), G/F Hayden Heim (Paxico, Kan.), G Neely Schaaf (El Dorado Springs, Mo.), and F Olivia Robben (Olathe, Kan.). G Elysa Martinez (Ackerly, Texas/Cowley County CC) is UCM's lone transfer.
JENNIES INK PAIR OF HIGH SCHOOL STANDOUTS
- University of Central Missouri Jennies Basketball head coach Dave Slifer announced Tuesday, Nov. 25, the signing of two high school standouts to the program's 2026 recruiting class.
- Regan Becker, a 6-foot-1 guard out of Blue Valley Northwest High School, and McKinli Mays, a 5-foot-7 guard out of El Dorado Springs High School, have signed to continue their education and compete at the University of Central Missouri beginning in the fall of 2026.
FAMILY CONNECTION
- The Jennies have two siblings on the 2025-26 roster in El Dorado Springs natives senior Reese Schaaf and freshman Neely Schaaf.
SLIFER AMONG THE BEST
- Jennies Basketball 22nd season head coach Dave Slifer is ranked fifth in career victories in all of NCAA (Division I, II, III) with 843 career wins in 36 years. In Division II, Slifer is second in career victories, trailing only Tom Shirley of Jefferson, who posted 905 victories in 43 years.
