- University of Central Missouri Jennies Basketball (19-5, 13-2 MIAA) is scheduled to travel to Oklahoma for a pair of MIAA games at Rogers State (9-15, 6-9 MIAA) and Central Oklahoma (9-15, 4-11 MIAA) on Thursday, Feb. 19, at Saturday, Feb. 21. The Jennies will face the Rogers State Hillcats in Claremore, Okla., at 5:30 p.m. Thursday before trekking to Edmond, Okla., for a 1:30 p.m. showdown against the Central Oklahoma Bronchos on Saturday.
- UCM, winners of its last seven games and 13 of its last 14 contests, is coming off a 95-47 victory over Arkansas-Fort Smith on Saturday, Feb. 14, in Warrensburg

- Reese Schaaf became the 32nd Jennies Basketball player to net at least 1,000 career points at UCM after converting a layup with 49 seconds to go in the first quarter against Washburn on Feb. 7. Entering Thursday, she has 1,051 career points and 539 rebounds.
REESE SCHAAF, TAYLOR WEISHAAR AMONG JENNIES' CAREER LEADERS
- Reese Schaaf is tied for fourth in career rebounding for the Jennies with 9.6 rebounds per game in 56 career contests. In addition, she is fourth in free-throw percentage at .845 (226-of-264) and fourth in scoring average at 18.8 points per game.
- Taylor Weishaar is tied for fifth in career blocks for the Jennies with 106 swats in 56 career games.
NATIONAL ACCOLADES FOR REESE SCHAAF
- Reese Schaaf was voted the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA)/D2CIDA NCAA Division II National Player of the Week for her performance on the basketball court during the week of Jan. 26 through Feb. 1. Schaaf led the Jennies to a pair of road wins last week – including one over fifth-ranked Fort Hays State – by averaging 28.5 points and 13.5 rebounds per game while going 19-of-28 (67.9 percent) from the field, 4-of-5 from three-point range, and 15-of-17 at the free throw line in the two contests.
JENNIES IN THE RANKINGS
- The Jennies continue to receive votes in the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Division II Top 25 Poll. Despite going 2-0 last week and winning seven in a row to improve to 19-5 overall, UCM went from receiving 19 votes in last week's poll to 13 votes in the most recent poll released on Tuesday, Feb. 17.
LAST TIME OUT: JENNIES ROLL PAST ARKANSAS-FORT SMITH SATURDAY FOR SEVENTH STRAIGHT WIN
- Reese Schaaf and Taylor Weishaar each tallied double-doubles, and Rylee Vierthaler and Makenzie Farmer both had career-highs, helping Central Missouri Jennies Basketball take down the Arkansas-Fort Smith Lions, 95-47, on Saturday afternoon, Feb. 14, inside the Jerry M. Hughes Athletics Center.
- UCM outscored UAFS, 20-5, in the first quarter and never looked back, leading from start to finish in the 48-point victory.
- Schaaf went 8-of-16 from the field and 6-of-6 at the free-throw line for her team-high 22 points and pulled down 13 rebounds for her 12th double-double of the season, while Weishaar was 5-of-6 from the field and 6-of-7 at the free-throw line for 17 points and added 13 rebounds for her sixth double-double of 2025-26.
- Vierthaler scored a career-best 21 points on 10-for-11 shooting from the field, and Farmer notched a career-high 16 points on 5-of-7 shooting from the floor, including a 3-of-5 performance from three-point range, and a 3-of-3 showing at the foul line, and Jolie Bonderer dished out a game and career-high five assists, rounding out the Central Missouri leaders.
- For the game, UCM shot a season-high 57 percent from the field (35-of-61) and were 35 percent from three-point range (7-of-20). The Jennies made 18 out of 21 free throws for 86 percent, and outrebounded UAFS, 52-19. UCM also dominated the paint, outscoring the Lions, 54-26.
- Marie Rose Priscilla Wemba had 12 points, pacing Arkansas-Fort Smith (4-20, 3-12 MIAA).
PRESEASON PICKS
- The Jennies were voted fourth in both the 2025-26 MIAA Preseason Coaches' Poll and MIAA Preseason Media Poll. UCM received 138 points and one first-place vote in the preseason coaches' poll and 271 points and four first-place votes in the preseason media poll.
NEW FACES
- The Jennies have seven newcomers for 2025-26, including six high school freshmen and one junior college transfer.
- The new high school freshmen are G Amaria Musick (Bixby, Okla.), G Makenzie Farmer (De Soto, Kan.), G/F Jayla Griffith (Columbia, Mo.), G/F Hayden Heim (Paxico, Kan.), G Neely Schaaf (El Dorado Springs, Mo.), and F Olivia Robben (Olathe, Kan.). G Elysa Martinez (Ackerly, Texas/Cowley County CC) is UCM's lone transfer.
JENNIES INK PAIR OF HIGH SCHOOL STANDOUTS
- University of Central Missouri Jennies Basketball head coach Dave Slifer announced Tuesday, Nov. 25, the signing of two high school standouts to the program's 2026 recruiting class.
- Regan Becker, a 6-foot-1 guard out of Blue Valley Northwest High School, and McKinli Mays, a 5-foot-7 guard out of El Dorado Springs High School, have signed to continue their education and compete at the University of Central Missouri beginning in the fall of 2026.
FAMILY CONNECTION
- The Jennies have two siblings on the 2025-26 roster in El Dorado Springs natives senior Reese Schaaf and freshman Neely Schaaf.
SLIFER AMONG THE BEST
- Jennies Basketball 22nd season head coach Dave Slifer is ranked fifth in career victories in all of NCAA (Division I, II, III) with 841 career wins in 36 years. In Division II, Slifer is second in career victories, trailing only Tom Shirley of Jefferson, who posted 905 victories in 43 years.
