  • University of Central Missouri Jennies Basketball (17-5, 11-2 MIAA) is set to host the Northeastern State RiverHawks (16-6, 8-5 MIAA) and Arkansas-Fort Smith Lions (4-18, 3-10 MIAA) inside the Jerry M. Hughes Athletics Center on Thursday, Feb. 12, and Saturday, Feb. 14. The Jennies will take on the RiverHawks at 5:30 p.m. Thursday before entertaining the Lions at 3 p.m. on Saturday.
  • Thursday's game will be We Back Pat Night. UCM Athletics will collect donations for We Back Pat, an organization dedicated to advancing research for treatment and a cure for Alzheimer's disease. Saturday's contest will be Mo's Maniacs Youth Day.

  • Reese Schaaf became the 32nd Jennies Basketball player to net at least 1,000 career points at UCM after converting a layup with 49 seconds to go in the first quarter against Washburn on Feb. 7. Entering Thursday, she has 1,015 career points and 517 rebounds.
REESE SCHAAF, TAYLOR WEISHAAR AMONG JENNIES' CAREER LEADERS
  • Reese Schaaf is tied for fourth in career rebounding for the Jennies with 9.6 rebounds per game in 54 career contests. In addition, she is fourth in free-throw percentage at .840 (215-of-256) and fourth in scoring average at 18.8 points per game.
  • Taylor Weishaar is up to sixth in career blocks for the Jennies with 100 swats in 54 career games.
NATIONAL ACCOLADES FOR REESE SCHAAF
  • Reese Schaaf was voted the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA)/D2CIDA NCAA Division II National Player of the Week for her performance on the basketball court during the week of Jan. 26 through Feb. 1. Schaaf led the Jennies to a pair of road wins last week – including one over fifth-ranked Fort Hays State – by averaging 28.5 points and 13.5 rebounds per game while going 19-of-28 (67.9 percent) from the field, 4-of-5 from three-point range, and 15-of-17 at the free throw line in the two contests.
JENNIES IN THE RANKINGS
  • The Jennies continue to receive votes in the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Division II Top 25 Poll. UCM received 19 votes in the most recent poll released on Tuesday, Feb. 10.
LAST TIME OUT: REESE SCHAAF REACHES 1,000-POINT MILESTONE IN 64-58 WIN OVER WASHBURN
  • Reese Schaaf became the 32nd student-athlete in program history to score at least 1,000 career points as University of Central Missouri Jennies Basketball took down the Washburn Ichabods, 64-58, in front of 1,275 spectators inside the Jerry M. Hughes Athletics Center on Saturday, Feb. 7.
  • Schaaf converted a layup with 49 seconds to go in the first quarter to surpass the 1,000-career point threshold at Central Missouri.
  • Central Missouri never trailed en route to the six-point victory.
  • Schaaf went 6-of-17 from the field and 6-of-8 at the free-throw line for 18 points and pulled down nine rebounds. Taylor Weishaar tallied 14 points on 5-of-11 shooting from the field and a 2-for-3 performance from three-point range and was 2-of-4 at the free-throw line, while also snagging nine rebounds, and Hayden Heim compiled 10 points, rounding out the UCM leaders in the game.
  • For the game, the Jennies were 23-of-52 (44 percent) from the field, 7-of-18 (39 percent) from three-point range, and made 11 out of 16 free throws for 69 percent. Central Missouri outrebounded Washburn, 32-30.
PRESEASON PICKS
  • The Jennies were voted fourth in both the 2025-26 MIAA Preseason Coaches' Poll and MIAA Preseason Media Poll. UCM received 138 points and one first-place vote in the preseason coaches' poll and 271 points and four first-place votes in the preseason media poll.
NEW FACES JENNIES INK PAIR OF HIGH SCHOOL STANDOUTS
  • University of Central Missouri Jennies Basketball head coach Dave Slifer announced Tuesday, Nov. 25, the signing of two high school standouts to the program's 2026 recruiting class.
  • Regan Becker, a 6-foot-1 guard out of Blue Valley Northwest High School, and McKinli Mays, a 5-foot-7 guard out of El Dorado Springs High School, have signed to continue their education and compete at the University of Central Missouri beginning in the fall of 2026.
FAMILY CONNECTION
  • The Jennies have two siblings on the 2025-26 roster in El Dorado Springs natives senior Reese Schaaf and freshman Neely Schaaf.
SLIFER AMONG THE BEST
  • Jennies Basketball 22nd season head coach Dave Slifer is ranked fifth in career victories in all of NCAA (Division I, II, III) with 839 career wins in 36 years. In Division II, Slifer is second in career victories, trailing only Tom Shirley of Jefferson, who posted 905 victories in 43 years.
