GREENWOOD, Ind. – The University of Central Missouri Mules football team had five student-athletes garner College Sports Communications Academic All-District® accolades for their performances on the field and in the classroom during the 2025 season, it was announced on Tuesday, Jan. 6.
Offensive linemen
Luke Karns and
Cooper Zwart, linebacker
Drew Kaufman, punter
Ethan Brown, and defensive lineman
Michael Harris all received Academic All-District® honors.
Karns is a senior from New Hampton, Mo., and has a 3.85 GPA as a marketing major, Zwart is a sophomore from Olathe, Kan., with a 3.72 GPA as a criminal justice and criminology major, Kaufman is a junior from Overland Park, Kan., with a 3.72 GPA as an accountancy major, Brown is a senior from Kansas City, Mo., with a 3.76 GPA as a management major, and Harris is a senior from Overland Park, Kan., with a 3.64 GPA as a management major.
Karns, Kaufman, and Harris were selected to advance to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-America® national ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced Jan. 27, 2026.
The 2025 Academic All-District® Football teams, selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC), recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes football honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA.
The Division II CSC Academic All-America® program is financially supported in part by the NCAA Division II national governance structure to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2024-25 Divisions II Academic All-America® program.
