KEARNEY, Neb. – Reese Schaaf netted a career-high 33 points, and
Taylor Weishaar pulled down a career-best 16 rebounds as Central Missouri Jennies Basketball stampeded past the Nebraska Kearney Lopers, 78-68, on Thursday, Jan. 29, inside the Health & Sports Center.
The Jennies (15-5, 9-2 MIAA) are scheduled to travel to Hays, Kan., for a MIAA contest at No. 5-ranked Fort Hays State (19-1, 10-1 MIAA) on Saturday, Jan. 31, at 2 p.m. inside Gross Memorial Coliseum.
UCM never trailed in the game, leading Nebraska Kearney (11-11, 4-7 MIAA) for all 40 minutes of the contest on its way to the 10-point victory.
Schaaf went 10-of-13 from the floor, including a perfect 3-of-3 showing from three-point range, and was 10-of-11 at the free-throw line for her career-high 33 points and pulled down a season-best 15 rebounds for her MIAA-best 10th double-double of the season.
Weishaar made eight of 13 shots from the floor and went a flawless 9-of-9 at the free-throw line to tie her career-high of 25 points, going along with her career-high 16 rebounds, for her fourth double-double of 2025-26. In addition, she compiled a season-best five blocks.
Makenzie Farmer also reached double figures, tying her career-best with 13 points, respectively.
For the game, Central Missouri shot 52 percent from the field (25-of-48), 25 percent from three-point range (4-of-16), and 86 percent at the free-throw line (24-of-28). The Jennies dominated the glass, outrebounding the Lopers, 46-24, and outscored UNK in the paint, 40-34.
Jordan Sears tallied 19 points, leading Nebraska Kearney.
