WARRENSBURG, MO. – The University of Central Missouri men's golf team took second place for a second consecutive season at The Mule on Tuesday, Sept. 9, at Mules National Golf Club in Warrensburg.
The Mules A Team (
Kale Flinton,
Archer Schnieders,
Brooks Baldwin,
Nick Fallin and
CJ Phillips) placed second after posting an even-par, three-round team score of 840 (280-275-285) which was the fourth-lowest 54-hole round in program history.
UCM's B Team (
Lawson Barks,
Henry Manning,
Jack Hope,
Garrett McIntosh and
Andrew Whittaker) finished 17th at 51-over par 600 (303-297-291). No. 11 Central Oklahoma claimed the team championship for the second straight season with a three-round, 14-under par 826 (274-270-282). Arkansas-Fort Smith rounded out the top-three in third with a 54-hole, 26-over par 866 (298-290-278).
CJ Phillips tied for second place with a 2-under par 208 (74-64-70). Freshman
Kale Flinton posted an even-par 210 (68-68-74), tying for fifth.
Archer Schnieders tied for ninth with a 1-over par at 211 (69-69-73).
Nick Fallin jumped up 21 places for a tie at 12th at 4-over par at 214 (72-74-68).
Henry Manning was 10-over par 220 (76-73-71) for 33rd place.
Brooks Baldwin tied for 41st at 221 (71-75-75) for 11-over par.
Jack Hope was 13-over par 223 (76-74-73) for 52nd place.
Lawson Barks scored 225 (79-73-73) to tie for 65th at 15-over par. Behind him was freshman
Garrett McIntosh who took 72nd place with 16-over par 226 (75-77-74).
Andrew Whittaker tied for 94th with a 25-over par 235 (76-81-78).
Nathan Womack, who competed individually, took the 102nd slot at 30-over par 240 (82-76-82).
Up Next, the Mules head to Tulsa, Okla. for their first MIAA event at the Northeastern State Men's Golf Classic from Sept. 15-Sept.16 at Stone Creek at Page Belcher Golf Course.
