JOPLIN, Mo. – The University of Central Missouri Cross Country Teams competed at the Missouri Southern Stampede on Saturday morning, Sept. 20, at the Tom Rutledge Cross Country Course on the Missouri Southern State University campus.
The Mules finished seventh in the men's 8K with 207 points, while the Jennies were 12th in the women's 5K with 421 points.
Alejandro Malave was one of seven Mules who finished in the top 100 in a field of 268 competitors, placing 30th with a time of 25:12.60.
Ty Lewis ran a personal-best 25:19.65 to finish 36th,
Jaise Bardwell posted a 51st-place performance with a personal-best 25:40.69,
Patrick Hardesty was 54th with a personal-best 25:43.18, and
Colby Adams finished 59th with a personal-best time of 25:49.14.
Kollin Tidman placed 86th with a personal-best time of 26:33.21, and
James Romo was 99th with a personal-best 26:44.77, wrapping up the top-100 performers for the Mules.
Freshman
Mary Bizon led the Jens individually, placing 13th out of 239 runners with a time of 18:05.34 in her first collegiate meet.
Kenzleigh Goans placed 76th at 20:02.44,
Madison Cross was 102nd with a time of 20:27.86, Kayli Camron finished 134th at 21:11.64, and
Daniella Gonzalez placed 146th at 21:23.33, rounding out the Jennies' results.
UCM Cross Country will return to action on Friday, Sept. 26, at the Gans Creek Invitational in Columbia, Mo.
