LEXINGTON, Ky. - The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) has released the recipients for the 2025 AVCA Team Academic Awards sponsored by INTENT. For the 14th consecutive year, the Jens are being recognized for their outstanding work in the classroom.
To qualify for the Academic Honor Roll award, teams must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.30 on a 4.0 grading scale throughout the academic year and have a team GPA in the top 20 percent of their division.
Jennies volleyball accounted for 13 of UCM's 386 student-athletes to receive MIAA Academic Honor Roll accolades, including three Academic Excellence recipients and five Newcomer Academic Honor Roll selections.
A season ago, the Jens made their 27
th MIAA tournament appearance while having three Second Team All-MIAA selections, including middle blocker
Rachel Ziesman and sophomore
Maya Fergerson.
Central Missouri begins the 2025 season on Friday, Sept. 5, as they take on the Illinois-Springfield Prairie Stars at 9:30 a.m. in the opening match of the UIS Tournament from The Recreation and Athletic Center in Springfield, Ill.
