  • Central Missouri volleyball beings the 2025 season with a pair of matches Friday, Sept. 5, as they take on the Roosevelt Lakers (12:30 p.m.) and Illinois-Springfield Prairie Stars (6:00 p.m.) in the opening day of the Illinois-Springfield Tournament inside The Recreation and Athletic Center in Springfield, Ill.
  • The Jens conclude the UIS Tournament Saturday, Sept. 6, with a single match against Quincy beginning at noon from The Recreation and Athletic Center in Springfield, Ill.
  • UCM was picked fifth in the 2025 MIAA Preseason Volleyball Coaches' Poll that was released on Friday, Aug. 22, after making their 27th conference tournament appearance in 2024 highlighted by three Second Team All-MIAA selections, including middle blocker Rachel Ziesman and Blue Springs, Mo. native Maya Fergerson
  • For the 22nd consecutive year, Central Missouri has earned the prestigious INTENT AVCA Team Academic Honor Roll Award announced on Monday, July 21 for their work in the classroom. 
  • Jennies volleyball announced the hiring of former libero/defensive specialist Rylie Barnum as the newest Assistant Coach on Monday, March 3. 

How to Watch
  • All matches during the 2025 Illinois-Springfield Volleyball Tournament will be available on a pay-per-view basis through the GLVC Network. Coverage begins at noon Friday afternoon from The Recreation and Athletic Center in Springfield, Ill.

Meet the Jens
  • Central Missouri returns 14 players from last year's squad while adding seven newcomers, including two transfers and four freshmen.
  • Setter Shelbi Wilson spent the previous two seasons playing for Hutchinson CC (Kan.) while redshirt junior Kaelyn McDonald transferred from MIAA foe Arkansas-Fort Smith.
  • Defensive specialist/libero Ragin Corwin (Blue Springs, Mo.), middle blocker Bria Dawson (Overland Park, Kan.), outside hitter Aspen Nelsen (Indianola, Iowa), and outside hitter Sammy Klotz (Hoyt, Kan.) are entering their first season of collegiate volleyball.  

Series History
  • Roosevelt: Friday marks the first meeting all-time between the Lakers and Central Missouri on the volleyball court.
  • Illinois-Springfield: Friday evening's match will be just the second all-time meeting between UCM and the Prairie Stars. The Jens swept UIS in the 2015 Peggy Martin Challenge finale inside the Jerry M. Hughes Athletics Center in Warrensburg. Senior Maddie Jones led Central Missouri offensively with a match-high 12 kills on 17 swings, while Kourtney Thompson added a match-best 30 assists for good measure.          
  • Quincy: Saturday's contest will be the 12th all-time meeting between the Hawks and Central Missouri. The Jens have won all 11 previous matchups, including their most recent meeting in Warrensburg on Oct. 14, 2008, where UCM swept the Hawks 25-16, 25-16, 25-22.  

UCM in the Postseason
  • The Jens made their 37th NCAA Tournament appearance in program history last season and the first under 2023 MIAA Coach of the Year Caitlin Peterson, as the Jens have a 41-41 overall record, including eight NCAA Regional Championships.
