WARRENSBURG, Mo. – University of Central Missouri Head Women's Soccer Coach Lewis Theobald announced Friday, June 13, that Jen Goethe has been hired as the program's new assistant coach.

"I am very happy to welcome Jen to UCM. Her extensive experience coaching and recruiting at the collegiate level will have an immediate impact," Theobald said. "Jen's fresh perspective will allow us to pursue our program's mission of being champions on and off the field."

Goethe joins the Jennies after serving as an assistant coach at Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee, Okla., from 2020-2024.

As an assistant coach for the Bison, Goethe helped lead OBU to the 2021 Great American Conference (GAC) Tournament Championship in 2021 and the GAC Regular Season Title in 2023. In addition, the 2021 Bison advanced to the NCAA Division II Central Regional tournament.

She, along with Oklahoma Baptist Head Coach Mike White and assistant coach Jeremy Hymel, were named the 2021 United Soccer Coaches Central Region Staff of the Year.

"I firmly believe that God ordains and directs our paths in life, so I'm eager to see what happens during this new chapter. I think Coach Theobald has built one of the top programs in NCAA Division II soccer, and I'm excited and honored to join that legacy," Goethe said. "I'm looking forward to working hard and hopefully bringing more championships to UCM."

Prior to her time as an assistant at Oklahoma Baptist, Goethe served as a graduate assistant at Dallas Baptist University in 2019, helping the Patriots to an NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 appearance.

A native of Tecumseh, Okla., Goethe played for Oklahoma Baptist from 2015-2018, earning 2017 and 2018 GAC Defensive Player of the Year, 2017 and 2018 All-GAC First Team honors, 2017 D2CCA All-Central Region First Team accolades, and 2017 Scholar All-American recognition.

Goethe holds a USYS National Youth License and a C License from the United States Soccer Federation.

She graduated from OBU in 2019 with her bachelor's degree and received her master's degree in sports administration from East Central University in 2020.
