ST. JOSEPH, Mo. -- University Central Missouri Mules Golf finished in fourth-place at the NCAA-II Central/Midwest Regional Championship at St. Joseph Country Club on Saturday, May 10. The Mules (290,301) shot a team final round of 276 (-8) to finish with a combined 54-hole total of 867 (+15). Central Oklahoma won the tournament with a 54-hole total of 847 (-5).
With the fourth-place finish, the Mules qualify for the 2025 NCAA-II Men's Golf Championship, which is scheduled for May 19-23 at the PGA National Resort in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. This will mark the Mules' first appearance at the men's golf championship since the 2021-22 season and will be the 15th appearance for the program under 34th season head coach
Tim Poe.
The Mules were led by senior
Calvin Dillon (69,74) who posted a final round 70 (-1) to finish in a tie for tenth with a 54-hole total of 213 (Even-Par).
Sophomore
CJ Phillips (72,76) posted a final round 66 (-5) to sit in a tie for 12th with a 54-hole total of 214 (+1), junior
Jack Hope (72,79) posted a final round 74 (+3) to finish in a tie for 72nd with a 54-hole total of 225 (+12), freshman
Lawson Barks (77,75) posted a final round 74 (+3) to finish in a tie for 79th with a 54-hole total of 226 (+13), and junior
Andrew Whittaker (76), who was substituted in for the Mules in the second round tallied a final round 66 (-5) to finish with a 36-hole total of 142 (Even-par), rounding out the Mules scoring.
UCM was one of four teams to punch a ticket to the NCAA-II Men's Golf Championship from the Central/Midwest Regional. Central Oklahoma, Missouri-St. Louis and Missouri S&T were the other three teams to advance to Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.Â
