 FIRST PITCH 
  • Central Missouri Jennies softball concludes the 2025 season with a pair of non-conference doubleheaders beginning Tuesday, April 22, against the Rockhurst Hawks before taking on the William Jewell Cardinals on Wednesday, April 23, with first pitch of game one scheduled for 3:00 p.m. both days from Jennies Field at the South Recreation Complex in Warrensburg.  
  • The Jens swept a pair of games against the Newman Jets winning by final scores of 8-0 (6 inn.) and 9-2 Friday, April 18, on Senior Day in Warrensburg.    
  • In game two's 9-2 victory over the Newman Jets, senior Emily Brouse collected her 100th strikeout at UCM ending the ballgame with six overall in five innings of work.
  • So far this season, Central Missouri features four hitters with a .300 or higher batting average including Taylor Thompson (.372), Bailey Brumley (.369), Jadyn Sheffield (.312), and Aly Hageman (.308).
  • UCM is paced in the circle by Brooke Weimer's (12-8) 157 strikeouts, a 1.97 ERA, and 16 complete-game performances in 131 1/3 innings of work while Emily Brouse (9-4) has recorded 100 punchouts in 101 2/3 innings and Andi Siebeneck (6-5) leads the team with two saves in 21 appearances.

AROUND THE DIAMOND
  • Central Missouri returns five position starters from last season including Lexi Blackmon, Laney Killpack, Jadyn Sheffield, Taylor Thompson, and Breanna Newton.
  • In the circle UCM returns two pitchers from 2024 including Andi Siebeneck and Brooke Weimer.  
  • So far this season, the Jens have a team batting average of .308 while scoring 268 runs averaging just under six runs per contest and have stolen 51 bases on 60 attempts (.850).
  • Through 46 games in 2025, Central Missouri has a fielding percentage of .975 on 1,287 chances.   
 
INDIVIDUAL MILESTONES
  • Emily Brouse collected her 100th strikeout of the season during game two's 9-2 win over the Newman Jets (April 18) on Senior Day tossing five innings allowing four hits while recording six punchouts for good measure.
  • Jadyn Sheffield has the third highest average at .312 while became the latest member of the 100-hit club with a single in the bottom of the ninth scoring the game-winning run in game two's 6-5 (9 inn.) walk-off victory against Missouri Southern (April 11). The junior is one of six players to start all 46 games at second base while scoring the second most runs on the team with 35 and stealing eight bases on eight attempts.
  • Emma McCall hit her first collegiate home run, a two-run blast in the top of the sixth inning during the Jens' 5-2 victory over No. 8 Rogers State (March 29) from RBC Bank Sports Park in Claremore, Okla.   
  • Lexi Blackmon became a member of the 100-hit club leading off game two's doubleheader against UMSL (March 25) with a double to left center en route to an 8-6 victory. The redshirt junior is one of six players to start all 46 games this season leading the team in stolen bases (13) and runs scored (37) while her 47 hits are third most.
  • Taylor Thompson leads the Jens offensively with a .372 average and eight home runs. The sophomore recorded her 13th multi-hit game of the year in game one against Newman (April 18) going 2-for-4 with a three-run dinger while being one of six players to start all 46 games in 2025.  
  • Bailey Brumley's .369 batting average ranks second on the team with her 14th multi-hit performance coming in game one against Newman (April 18) where she went 2-for-3 with a run scored. The Blue Springs, Mo. native has the second most total bases with 73 while starting 43 games at first base. 
  • Morgan Shields has a .284 batting average while being tied for the lead with eight home runs. The senior belted her eighth of the season in the bottom of the fourth inning during the Jens' 9-2 win over Newman (April 18) in game two of their doubleheader from Jennies Field on Senior Day.      
  • Aly Hageman's .308 average is fourth highest on the team while recording her ninth multi-hit performance of the year in game one against Quincy (April 16) where she went 2-for-3 with one run scored and one RBI for good measure. The junior leads the team with two triples while being one of six players to start all 46 games in 2025.   
  • Marisa Johnson recorded her 10th multi-hit game of the year in UCM's 6-2 win over Emporia State (April 7) from Turnbull Field as the freshman went 3-for-4 with a two-run shot in the fourth ending the game with three RBI. The De Soto, Kan. native is second on the team in homers with five while driving in 33 RBI and collecting 14 extra-base hits in 2025.   
  • Brooke Weimer struck out a career-best 13 batters in game one's 3-2 victory over No. 5 Central Oklahoma (April 17) allowing two runs on six hits. The Macon, Mo. native recorded her 200th career strikeout in the top of the fourth inning against Missouri Western (March 22) in game one's 3-0 victory where the sophomore tossed her first career no-hitter ending the ballgame with eight total punchouts for good measure.
  • Teelie Super hit her first collegiate home run in game one of a doubleheader against Northern State (March 13) in the bottom of the third inning giving the Jens an 11-0 lead. The sophomore is hitting .333 this season with four total hits including two for extra bases and four RBI.
  • Andi Siebeneck hit her first career home run in the bottom of the second inning against Illinois-Springfield (Feb. 7) providing the first run of the year for the Jens and is one of eight batters to hit a home run so far this season.
  
SERIES HISTORY
  • Rockhurst: Tuesday afternoon's games against the Hawks will be the 17th and 18th all-time with Central Missouri posting a 10-6 record including 7-1 in Warrensburg following a 7-6 loss (Feb. 28) in game two of the Top Gun College Classic from MidAmerica Sports Complex in Shawnee, Kan.
  • William Jewell: Wednesday afternoon's games against WJC will be the 33rd and 34th games all-time with the Jens holding a 23-9 advantage following a 9-3 win (Feb. 8) during third game of the Alvy Early Memorial Classic in Bentonville, Ark.  
  
 UCM DURING the ANDERSON ERA
  • Susan Anderson enters her 19th season as head coach of the Jennies where she is the second winningest coach in program history with a record of 530-408 (.565) becoming just the second coach in program history to eclipse 500 wins doing so in game two of a double header against Fort Hays State (April 16, 2023) on Senior Day.
  • Since her return to Warrensburg in 2006, Anderson is the fastest coach to accomplish 100 wins doing so in just three seasons while making 14 MIAA tournament, five regional tournaments and one Elite Eight appearances.
  • The 2015 Regional Coach of the Year has been named MIAA Coach of the Year three times in her career (twice named as head coach of the Jens) while coaching 18 first team All-MIAA selections, nine All-Region selections, two All-Americans and one MIAA MVP.
