 FIRST PITCH 
  • Central Missouri Jennies softball continues the 2025 season on Wednesday, April 16, as they take on the Quincy Hawks for a doubleheader with game one's first pitch slated for 2:00 p.m. from Mart Heinen Softball Complex in Quincy, Ill.  
  • The Jens return to Jennies Field at the South Recreation Complex Thursday, April 17, as they host No. 5 Central Oklahoma Bronchos for a pair of games before taking on the Newman Jets Friday, April 18, for Senior Day with first pitch of game one slated for 3:00 p.m. both days in Warrensburg.  
  • The Jens split a pair of games against No. 23 Pittsburg State Gorillas winning game two by a final score of 5-3 Saturday, April 12, from Jennies Field in Warrensburg.    
  • Jadyn Sheffield became the latest member of the 100-hit club with a single to right field in the bottom of the ninth in game two against Missouri Southern (April 11) scoring the game-winning run in a 6-5 walk-off win.
  • So far this season, Central Missouri features five hitters with a .300 or higher batting average including Taylor Thompson (.362), Bailey Brumley (.350), Jadyn Sheffield (.323), Aly Hageman (.308), and Marisa Johnson (.305).
  • UCM is paced in the circle by Brooke Weimer's (9-8) 136 strikeouts, a 2.12 ERA, and 14 complete-game performances in 115 1/3 innings of work while Emily Brouse (8-3) has recorded 93 punchouts in 91 2/3 innings and Andi Siebeneck (6-5) leads the team with two saves in 18 appearances.
 
 SCHEDULE UPDATE 
  • Central Missouri has added a pair of doubleheaders to their schedule as they will host the Rockhurst Hawks on Tuesday, April 22, before taking on the William Jewell Cardinals Wednesday, April 23, with game one's first pitch slated for 3:00 p.m. both days from Jennies Field at the South Recreation Complex in Warrensburg.

 AROUND THE DIAMOND
  • Central Missouri returns six position starters from last season including Lexi Blackmon, Laney Killpack, Jadyn Sheffield, Taylor Thompson, and Breanna Newton.
  • In the circle UCM returns two pitchers from 2024 including Andi Siebeneck and Brooke Weimer.  
  • So far this season, the Jens have a team batting average of .315 while scoring 212 runs averaging just under six runs per contest and have stolen 36 bases on 43 attempts (.838).
  • Through 36 games in 2025, Central Missouri has a fielding percentage of .977 on 991 chances.   
 
INDIVIDUAL MILESTONES 
  • Jadyn Sheffield has the third highest average at .323 while became the latest member of the 100-hit club with a single in the bottom of the ninth scoring the game-winning run in game two's 6-5 (9 inn.) walk-off victory against Missouri Southern (April 11). The junior is one of six players to start all 40 games at second base while scoring the second most runs on the team with 28 and stealing seven bases on seven attempts.
  • Emma McCall hit her first collegiate home run, a two-run blast in the top of the sixth inning during the Jens' 5-2 victory over No. 8 Rogers State (March 29) from RBC Bank Sports Park in Claremore, Okla.   
  • Lexi Blackmon became a member of the 100-hit club leading off game two's doubleheader against UMSL (March 25) with a double to left center en route to an 8-6 victory. The redshirt junior is one of six players to start all 40 games this season leading the team in stolen bases (11) while ranking second in runs scored (30) and her 41 hits are third most.
  • Taylor Thompson leads the Jens offensively with a .362 average and six home runs. The sophomore recorded her 11th multi-hit game of the year in game two against Emporia State (April 7) going 3-for-4 while being one of six players to start all 40 games in 2025.  
  • Bailey Brumley's .350 batting average ranks second on the team with her 11th multi-hit performance coming in game one against No. 23 Pittsburg State (April 12) where she went 2-for-3. The Blue Springs, Mo. native has the second most total bases with 61 while starting 37 games at first base. 
  • Morgan Shields has a .272 batting average while being tied for the lead with six home runs. The senior belted her sixth of the season in the bottom of the second inning during the Jens' 6-5 (9 inn.) win over Missouri Southern (April 11) in game two of their doubleheader from Jennies Field.      
  • Aly Hageman's .308 average is fourth highest on the team while recording her eighth multi-hit performance of the year in game one against Emporia State (April 7) where she went 2-for-4 with one run scored for good measure. The junior leads the team with two triples while being one of six players to start all 40 games in 2025.   
  • Marisa Johnson recorded her 10th multi-hit game of the year in UCM's 6-2 win over Emporia State (April 7) from Turnbull Field as the freshman went 3-for-4 with a two-run shot in the fourth ending the game with three RBI. The De Soto, Kan. native is second on the team lead in homers with five while driving in 28 RBI and collecting 14 extra-base hits in 2025.   
  • Brooke Weimer recorded her 200th career strikeout in the top of the fourth inning against Missouri Western (March 22) in game one's 3-0 victory where the sophomore tossed her first career no-hitter ending the ballgame with eight total punchouts for good measure.
  • Teelie Super hit her first collegiate home run in game one of a doubleheader against Northern State (March 13) in the bottom of the third inning giving the Jens an 11-0 lead. The sophomore is hitting .333 this season with four total hits including two for extra bases and four RBI.
  • Andi Siebeneck hit her first career home run in the bottom of the second inning against Illinois-Springfield (Feb. 7) providing the first run of the year for the Jens and is one of eight batters to hit a home run so far this season.
 
 SERIES HISTORY
  • Quincy: Wednesday afternoon's games against QU will be the 15th and 16th games all-time with the Jens holding an 8-6 advantage following a 13-0 (5 inn.) win during the opening day of the 2020 season at the Arkansas-Monticello Classic in Bentonville.  
  • No. 5 Central Oklahoma: Thursday's doubleheader will be the 48th and 49th all-time meetings between UCM and the Bronchos dating back to the 1989 season with UCO having a 25-22 advantage including 10-6 in Warrensburg following a doubleheader split last season at Jennies Field.  
  • Newman: Friday afternoon's games against the Jets will be the 10th and 11th all-time with Central Missouri posting a perfect 9-0 record including 4-0 in Warrensburg following a doubleheader sweep last season at Jennies Field.
  
 UCM DURING the ANDERSON ERA
  • Susan Anderson enters her 19th season as head coach of the Jennies where she is the second winningest coach in program history with a record of 530-408 (.565) becoming just the second coach in program history to eclipse 500 wins doing so in game two of a double header against Fort Hays State (April 16, 2023) on Senior Day.
  • Since her return to Warrensburg in 2006, Anderson is the fastest coach to accomplish 100 wins doing so in just three seasons while making 14 MIAA tournament, five regional tournaments and one Elite Eight appearances.
  • The 2015 Regional Coach of the Year has been named MIAA Coach of the Year three times in her career (twice named as head coach of the Jens) while coaching 18 first team All-MIAA selections, nine All-Region selections, two All-Americans and one MIAA MVP.
