 FIRST PITCH 
  • Central Missouri Jennies softball concludes a 10-game homestand on Tuesday, March 25, hosting the Missouri-St. Louis Tritons for a doubleheader with game one's first pitch slated for 2:00 p.m. from Jennies Field at the South Recreation Complex in Warrensburg.
  • The Jens continue MIAA play over the weekend on the road beginning Friday, March 28, taking on the Northeastern State RiverHawks (Tahlequah, Okla.) before a doubleheader with No. 6 Rogers State (Claremore, Okla.) on Saturday, March 29, with game one's first pitches scheduled for 12:00 p.m. both days.   
  • The Jens swept a doubleheader against the Missouri Western Griffons defeating them 3-0 and 8-6 on Saturday, March 22, from Jennies Field at the South Recreation Complex in Warrensburg.
  • During game one's victory over the Griffons, sophomore Brooke Weimer earned her 200th career strikeout in the top of the fourth inning before earning her first career no-hitter.
  • So far this season, Central Missouri features six batters with a .300 or higher batting average among qualifying hitters including Taylor Thompson (.388), Bailey Brumley (.351), Lexi Blackmon (.341), Jadyn Sheffield (.338), Aly Hageman (.324), and Morgan Shields (.313) while as a team the Jens are hitting .315 on the year.
  • The Jens are paced in the circle by Brooke Weimer's (6-5) 86 strikeouts, a 2.50 ERA, and nine complete-game performances in 67 1/3 innings of work while Emily Brouse (5-3) has recorded 76 punchouts in 66 1/3 innings over 13 outings.

AROUND THE DIAMOND
  • Central Missouri returns six position starters from last season including Lexi Blackmon, Laney Killpack, Jadyn Sheffield, Taylor Thompson, and Breanna Newton.
  • In the circle UCM returns two pitchers from 2024 including Andi Siebeneck and Brooke Weimer.  
  • So far this season, the Jens have a team batting average of .315 while scoring 153 runs averaging just under six runs per contest and have stolen 23 bases on 30 attempts (.776).
  • Through 26 games in 2025, Central Missouri has a fielding percentage of .974 on 689 chances.   
 
INDIVIDUAL MILESTONES
  • Brooke Weimer recorded her 200th career strikeout in the top of the fourth inning against Missouri Western in game one's 3-0 victory where the sophomore tossed her first career no-hitter ending the ballgame with eight total punchouts for good measure.
  • Taylor Thompson leads the Jens offensively with a .388 average while being one of five UCM batters to hit two dingers on the year. The sophomore recorded multi-hit games seven and eight against Northern State (March 13) going 5-for-7 with including five RBI, four doubles, and two runs scored in the doubleheader while leading the team with 48 total bases starting all 26 games so far this season.
  • Bailey Brumley's seven multi-hit games and .351 batting average rank second on the team with her latest multi-hit performance was against Missouri Western (March 20) where she went 2-for-4 with three RBI during an 8-6 win to secure the doubleheader sweep. The Blue Springs, Mo. native has the second most total bases (41) and home runs (2) while her 27 hits rank third.  
  • Lexi Blackmon is one of six Jens to start all 26 games this season in center field while her nine multi-hit games is tied for the lead on the team. Her most recent multi-hit outing came in game two against Missouri Western (March 22) going 3-for-4 with two runs scored and one RBI. Her eight stolen bases and 21 runs scored tops UCM while ranking second in hits with 30 and is one of five players to have multiple homers in 2025.
  • Jadyn Sheffield has a .338 batting average and has recorded five multi-hit games in 2025 with the most recent coming in game one's victory against Lincoln (March 11) where she went 2-for-3 with two runs scored and an RBI. The junior belted her first dinger of the year in game one against Nebraska-Kearney (March 9) in the top of the first en route to a 9-0 (5 inn.) win while her six stolen bases are second on the team and is one of six Jens to start all 26 games at second base.
  • Aly Hageman's .324 average is fifth highest on the team while recording her fifth multi-hit performance of the year in game one against Northwest Missouri (March 18) where she went 2-for-2 with one run scored and one RBI. The junior is the lone hitter to have a triple this season while being one of six players to have 20 or more hits and start all 26 games in 2025.    
  • Morgan Shields leads the team with four home runs while having a .313 batting average. She's recording four multi-hit games with the most recent coming against Nebraska-Kearney (March 9) where she was 2-for-2 with a double, two RBI, and one runs scored while being one of five Jens to hit two round-trippers this season. The senior has 35 total bases and 21 RBI while being one of six players to start all 26 games this season at third base.     
  • Marisa Johnson tied for third on the team with five multi-hit games with the most recent coming against Maryville (March 2) where she went 2-for-2 with two doubles and two runs scored. Johnson has 19 hits while being one of five batters to hit two home runs in 2025. The freshman ranks third on the team in eight extra-base hits and fourth in doubles with six.   
  • Teelie Super hit her first collegiate home run in game one of a doubleheader against Northern State (March 13) in the bottom of the third inning giving the Jens an 11-0 lead. The sophomore is hitting .375 this season with three total hits including two for extra bases and four RBI.
  • Andi Siebeneck hit her first career homerun in the bottom of the second inning against Illinois-Springfield (Feb. 7) providing the first run of the year for the Jens and is one of eight batters to hit a home run so far this season.
  
SERIES HISTORY
  • Missouri-St. Louis: Tuesday afternoon's games against UMSL will be the 53rd and 54th all-time meetings with the Jens holding a 35-17 overall record following a doubleheader sweep of the Tritons last season in St. Louis.  
  • Northeastern State: Friday's doubleheader against the RiverHawks will be the 37th and 38th all-time matchups with Central Missouri leading the series 20-16 following last season's doubleheader split in Tahlequah.
  • No. 6 Rogers State: Saturday afternoon's games against RSU will be the 12th and 13th ballgames all-time with the Hillcats leading the series 7-4 following a doubleheader split in Claremore a season ago.   
  
UCM DURING the ANDERSON ERA
  • Susan Anderson enters her 19th season as head coach of the Jennies where she is the second winningest coach in program history with a record of 530-408 (.565) becoming just the second coach in program history to eclipse 500 wins doing so in game two of a double header against Fort Hays State (April 16, 2023) on Senior Day.
  • Since her return to Warrensburg in 2006, Anderson is the fastest coach to accomplish 100 wins doing so in just three seasons while making 14 MIAA tournament, five regional tournaments and one Elite Eight appearances.
  • The 2015 Regional Coach of the Year has been named MIAA Coach of the Year three times in her career (twice named as head coach of the Jens) while coaching 18 first team All-MIAA selections, nine All-Region selections, two All-Americans and one MIAA MVP.
