FIRST PITCH 
  • Central Missouri Jennies softball begins the 2025 season at the Alvy Early Memorial Classic with a pair of doubleheaders slated for Friday, Feb. 7 against Illinois-Springfield (11:00 a.m.) and Southern Arkansas (1:30 p.m.) before taking on William Jewell (11:00 a.m.) and Harding (1:30 p.m.) on Saturday, Feb. 8, from Memorial Park in Bentonville, Ark.  
  • A season ago, the Jens finished with a 23-27 overall record highlighted by two All-MIAA selections in Hayden Serna (Second Team Designated Player) and Taylor Thompson (All-MIAA Honorable Mention Second Base).

SERIES HISTORY
  • Illinois-Springfield: Entering play on Friday morning, this is the eighth all-time meeting between the Prairie Stars and Central Missouri dating back to the 2014 season with the Jens holding a 6-1 record following last season's 5-4 (Feb. 9) victory in the opening day of the Alvy Early Memorial Classic led by Brooke Weimer's 11 strikeout complete-game performance in the circle while Lexi Blackmon led the Jens offensively going 2-for-4 with one run scored.
  • Southern Arkansas: Friday afternoon's matchup will be the eighth meeting all-time between the Muleriders and Central Missouri dating back to the 2009 season. The most recent meeting between SAU and the Jens came in the 2021 NCAA-II Central Region Quarterfinals with UCM coming out on top 2-1 on Friday, May 21, from Broncho Stadium in Edmond, Okla.
  • William Jewell: Saturday morning will be the 32nd all-time meeting between the Cardinals and UCM dating back to the 1992 season with the Jens leading the series 20-11. Last season in Liberty, the home team took both games of a non-conference doubleheader held on Tuesday, March 5, from Cardinal Field.
  • Harding: This will be the fifth all-time meeting between the Jens and Harding with the most recent matchup occurring in February of 2023 when the Bisons won 5-4 in the third game of the Alvy Early Memorial Classic.
    
UCM DURING the ANDERSON ERA
  • Susan Anderson enters her 19th season as head coach of the Jennies where she is the second winningest coach in program history with a record of 528-406 (.565) becoming just the second coach in program history to eclipse 500 wins doing so in game two of a double header against Fort Hays State (April 16, 2023) on Senior Day.
  • Since her return to Warrensburg in 2006, Anderson is the fastest coach to accomplish 100 wins doing so in just three seasons while making 14 MIAA tournament, five regional tournaments and one Elite Eight appearances.
  • The 2015 Regional Coach of the Year has been named MIAA Coach of the Year three times in her career (twice named as head coach of the Jens) while coaching 18 first team All-MIAA selections, nine All-Region selections, two All-Americans and one MIAA MVP.
