UCM Athletics Announces 2026 Hall of Fame Induction Class

WARRENSBURG, Mo. – Eleven standout individuals and two outstanding teams make up the 2026 University of Central Missouri Athletic Hall of Fame induction class, it was announced Friday, Nov. 21.

The 11 individuals include three from the Early Era in former Mules Football and Track & Field student-athlete Wes Martin (1980-83), Mules Football's Milton "Milt" Sanderman (1981-84), and Jennies Volleyball's Corrie Paul (1989-92). The Modern Era features Jennies Basketball's Morgan Fleming (2016-20) and Megan Skaggs (2016-20), Mules Golf's Sam Migdal (2011-15), Mules Baseball's Bennett Oliver (2015-16), Jennies Soccer's Abby Rhodes (2013-17), and Jennies Volleyball's Carly Sojka (2012-15).

In addition, former Jennies Volleyball Head Coach Flip Piontek and longtime UCM Athletics supporter Vance Delozier (posthumous) will be inducted as individuals.

The 2014-15 Mules Golf Team and 2025 Jennies Volleyball Team will be enshrined, rounding out the class.

The 2026 UCM Athletic Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony is scheduled for Saturday morning, February 28, at 9 a.m. inside the UCM Elliott Student Union Ballroom. To register, please click here.

Early Era (through 1996)

Football/Track & Field, 1980-83

A two-time All-MIAA First Team selection, he holds the UCM record and is fifth all-time in the MIAA for career sacks with 32…Ranks first in school history for most tackles by a defensive lineman with 233…Has the second (12), fourth (10) and eighth (9) most sacks in a single-season in UCM history… Member of 1983 Mules football MIAA Championship team…Ranks just outside of the indoor top 10 list in shot put (54-9) and on outdoor list in same event (54-10.5)…1983-84 Vernon Kennedy Award winner as UCM's top male senior student-athlete.

Football, 1981-84

A two-time First Team All-MIAA defensive end (1983, 1984) and honorable mention All-MIAA honorable mention selection in 1982…Holds the UCM single-game record (since 1980) for most sacks in a game with six at Southeast Missouri State in 1984…Holds the UCM single-season record (since 1980) for sacks with 14 in 1984…Ranks second in career sacks with 29 from 1981-84…Ranks third in career tackles for loss with 40 from 1982-84 (TFL stats not available in 1981)…Member of the 1983 MIAA Championship team.

Volleyball, 1989-92

UCM and MIAA Most Valuable Player in 1992, All-American in 1992; three-time All-Region selection…Three-time first team All-MIAA honoree…Ranks eighth in school history in kills (1,592) and ninth in kills per set (3.38), seventh in attempts (3,723), tied for ninth in service aces (162) and aces per set (0.34)…Third at UCM with 60 career kills-digs double-doubles…Named Most Outstanding Senior Female Student Athlete at UCM.

Women's Basketball, 2016-20

Fleming led Jennies Basketball to a 106-21 record during her four years at UCM…Scored 1,550 career points with 546 rebounds and 323 assists…Only Jenny since 2000 with more than 1,000 points, 500 rebounds and 250 assists…Following the 2019-20 season, became the 10th First Team All-American in Jennies Basketball history. She also made her third All-MIAA team and was the co-MVP of the MIAA Tournament…Named the MIAA's Winter Sports Female Student-Athlete of the Year…Led UCM to two MIAA Regular Season titles, one MIAA Tournament title, one NCAA Regional title, and one National Championship title.

Men's Golf, 2011-15

Migdal was a three-time All-MIAA selection and was the first-ever NCAA Individual National Champion in Mules history in 2015, winning the title with a -8 for three rounds and won by three strokes. In three years at UCM, Migdal averaged 74.62 strokes in 71 rounds played. Over three years, Migdal won three events, placed in the top five in eight events and in the top 10 in 12.

Baseball, 2015-16

Set the single-season UCM and MIAA record for home runs with 24 as a senior in 2016. In two years at UCM, hit .335 with a .676 slugging percentage, 30 home runs and 91 RBI…Collected 116 total hits…Twice made the All-MIAA team and was an All-Region selection as a senior…Following his senior year, he was a finalist for the Tino Martinez Awards as the Division II National Player of the Year.

Soccer, 2013-17

Three-time All-American for the Jennies from 2013-17…Was a D2CCA First Team All-American in 2015 and garnered Second Team All-American accolades from both the D2CCA (2017) and NSCAA (2015)…Helped the 2017 Jennies to the NCAA Division II National Championship and a perfect 26-0-0 season…A member of five MIAA Regular Season and four MIAA Postseason Tournament Championship Teams…Converted the National Championship-clinching penalty-kick in the 2017 National Championship match for UCM…Still ranks fifth in single-season goals scored with 17 in 2017…Is fifth on the Central Missouri career assists chart with 23 in 95 matches…Three-time All-MIAA First Team honoree and was the conference's Defender of the Year in 2015…Five-time All-Region selection by the NSCAA/United Soccer Coaches, Daktronics and D2CCA...2017 CoSIDA Academic All-American First Team honoree.

Megan-Skaggs
Megan Skaggs
Women's Basketball, 2016-20

Two-time All-American and was the MIAA's Player of the Year in 2020…Made the All-MIAA team all four years, becoming just the fifth four-time All-MIAA selection in team history and the first since 1991…Averaged a career-high 16.7 points per game as a senior in 2020 while shooting 52 percent from the floor, 36 percent from three, and 81 percent at the free throw line…Was the only player in the top-20 in the MIAA in points, field goal percentage, free throw percentage, rebounds, blocks, and steals that season..Set a new UCM and MIAA record, scoring 50 points in a win against Evangel in 2020…For her career, she played and started in a UCM record-tying 127 games, never missing a game in four years…Seventh all-time in scoring with 1,705 points, 10th in field goal percentage, fourth in three-point percentage, and tied for sixth in three-point field goals made…Helped the Jennies to the 2017-18 NCAA-II National Championship in Sioux Falls, S.D.


Carly Sojka
Volleyball, 2012-15     

Two-time All-American and Dr. Peggy Martin Award winner…Fourth all-time at UCM in kills with 1,664…Finished 90 matches with 10+ kills and 17 with 20+ kills…One of just six Jennies to ever hit 30 kills in a match and is third all-time with 31…Second all-time at UCM in points with 1,860 and scored 4.03 points per set for her career…Scored 10+ points in 103 of 134 total matches and is the Jennies' all-time leader with 22 matches having scored 20 or more points…Was the 2015 Central Region Player of the Year and the MIAA Player of the Year, along with making four All-MIAA teams…Had a career record of 111-23 with four NCAA regional appearances and two MIAA regular season and two MIAA Tournament championships.

Volleyball head coach from 2009-21…Compiled a 332-78 record for an impressive .810 winning percentage in his 13 seasons as head coach for the Jennies…Retired in 2022 as the second-winningest head coach in Jennies volleyball history...Led Central Missouri to six MIAA regular season crowns, three MIAA postseason tournament titles, two NCAA Regional Championships, and 10 NCAA tournament appearances…Coached 32 AVCA All-Americans, and 82 All-MIAA selections…Also coached four MIAA Player of the Year honorees in Allie Huffman (2011), Julia Bates (2013), Carly Sojka (2015), and Audrey Fisher (2021)… Named the MIAA Coach of the Year four times and was the regional coach of the year for both the south central and central regions a combined four times, as well…Before being named head coach of the Jennies in 2009, served as an assistant coach for Central Missouri Volleyball under Hall of Fame coach Peggy Martin for 23 seasons. In his time as an assistant, he posted a record of 729-174…In his combined 36 years at Central Missouri as both a head and assistant coach, he tallied a record of 1,061-252 (.808).
