ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – The Central Missouri Men's Golf completed the first round of the Holiday Inn Express Classic on Monday, Oct. 6, at St. Joseph Country Club. The Mules' A team led the way with 303, 19-over par, to sit in sixth place, while the B team finished at 305, 21-over par, for eighth after the first round.
For the A team, sophomore
Archer Schnieders turned in a 75, 4-over par, tying for 17th. Juniors
CJ Phillips and
Henry Manning, freshman
Kale Flinton, and senior
Nick Fallin posted 76, 5-over par, joining the tie for 21st.
On the B team, sophomore
Lawson Barks paced the lineup with a 73, 2-over par, placing him fourth overall. Freshman
Garrett McIntosh and senior
Jack Hope each shot 76, 5-over par, to tie for 21st. Junior
Nathan Womack recorded an 80, 9-over par, and senior
Andrew Whittaker added an 83, 12-over par.
The Mules will compete in the final rounds on Tuesday, Oct. 7, at St. Joseph Country Club.
