EMPORIA, Kan. – Ryann Clark converted a penalty-kick goal in the 63rd minute to lead the No. 12-ranked University of Central Missouri Jennies Soccer Team to a 1-0 shutout victory over the Emporia State Hornets Sunday afternoon, Oct. 26, at the ESU Soccer Pitch.
The Jennies (9-3-4, 6-1-3 MIAA) are scheduled to wrap up their 2025 regular season with a pair of home MIAA matches Friday, Oct. 31, at 6 p.m. vs. Missouri Southern (2-9-3, 0-6-2 MIAA) and Sunday, Nov. 2, at 1 p.m. vs. Pittsburg State (11-2-2, 6-1-2 MIAA).
The penalty-kick goal was Clark's third of 2025 and second game-winning goal of the season.
For the match, the Jennies outshot the Hornets (8-5-2, 5-2-2 MIAA), 10-4, including a 6-3 advantage in shots on goal. UCM also edged ESU in corner kicks, 9-8.

Kristen Wright (9-3-4) secured her team-best eighth shutout of 2025 after allowing zero goals and making three saves in 90 minutes between the posts.
Emporia State goalkeeper Mackenzi Goen (6-5-2) suffered the setback in goal, surrendering one goal and compiling five saves in 90 minutes.
