All-MIAA Honors Abound for Jennies Soccer

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Eight University of Central Missouri Jennies Soccer student-athletes garnered All-MIAA Women's Soccer honors for their performances on the soccer pitch during the 2026 regular season, it was announced by the conference on Friday, Oct. 30.

Defenders Gracie Knight and Ryann Clark, midfielder Coryn Jespersen, and forward Mikayla Ernst were named First Team All-MIAA; goalkeeper Kristen Wright, midfielder Hazel Douglas-Trotman, and forward Hadley Lockhart received Second Team All-MIAA recognition; and midfielder Aspen Patterson earned Third Team All-MIAA accolades.

Knight, a senior from Shawnee, Kan., has played and started in all 18 matches for UCM this season and has been a key member of a defense that has allowed just five goals and posted 13 shutouts. This is her second-career All-MIAA honor, as she was a second-team selection last season.

A senior from Kansas City, Kan., Clark has scored five goals, including two game-winning goals, and dished out one assist for 11 points in 18 contests in 2026. Her five goals are the third-most on the team. In addition, Clark has helped the Central Missouri backline compile 13 shutouts and give up five goals in 18 matches. This is her second-career All-MIAA selection, as she was a third team honoree in 2023.

Jespersen, a sophomore from Olathe, Kan., leads the team and the MIAA with 13 assists in 2026, which ranks third in all of NCAA Division II Women's Soccer. She's also scored four goals, which include three game-winners, for a team-high 21 points. Her 13 assists are just three shy of tying the Central Missouri single-season record of 16 set back in 2021 by Kassie Newsom.

A senior from Raymore, Mo., Ernst received First Team All-MIAA honors for a second straight season after tying for the team lead with eight goals and netting a team-best four game-winning goals. Her eight goals helped her compile 16 points in 17 matches so far in 2026. Her four game-winners are tied for the MIAA lead heading into postseason play.

Wright, a senior from Lenexa, Kan., has played and started in all 18 matches between the posts for the Jennies, allowing just five goals on 148 shots faced while making 55 saves in 1,543:15 minutes, for a goals-against average (GAA) of 0.29. She is 13-1-4 on the season and has tallied nine solo shutouts and four combined shutouts, and has been instrumental in UCM's 13 overall shutouts on the season. She ranks second in the MIAA in GAA, saves (.917 save percentage), and shutouts per game (.500 per game). This is Wright's fourth All-MIAA selection of her career, as she was honorable mention last season, second team in 2023, and third team in 2024.

Douglas-Trotman, a sophomore from Blue Springs, Mo., has played and started in all 18 contests in 2026 for UCM, netting one goal, a game-winner, and tallying one assist for three points. She's posted 1,359 minutes on the pitch this season, which is third-most on the team. This is her second-career All-MIAA recognition, as she was an honorable mention selection last season.

A senior from Shawnee, Kan., Lockhart has a team-best, tying eight goals, including one game-winner, for 16 points in 16 matches in 2026.

Patterson, a senior from Lenexa, Kan., has played and started in all 18 contests in 2026 for Central Missouri, handing out five assists for five points. Her 1,353 minutes on the pitch are the fourth-highest on the team. Patterson is now a three-time All-MIAA honoree, as she was second team last season and honorable mention in 2023.

The Jennies, the number two seed in the MIAA Women's Soccer Tournament, are scheduled to host No. 7 seed Northwest Missouri State in a quarterfinal round match on Sunday, Nov. 1, at 1 p.m. at the South Recreation Complex in Warrensburg.
