2025 Mules Baseball Regular Season Radio Broadcast Schedule Announced; Kent Named Play-by-Play Voice of Mules Baseball

WARRENSBURG, Mo. – Twelve University of Central Missouri Mules baseball regular season games are scheduled to air live on "Your Country" 98.5 The BAR FM and WarrensburgRadio.com in 2025, it was announced Tuesday, Jan. 21.

In addition, Mules baseball alum Alex Kent has been named the play-by-play voice for the Mules for the 2025 season. He succeeds longtime Mules baseball play-by-play announcer Bob Jackson, who retired after the 2024 season.

Kent pitched for the Mules from 2007-10 and still ranks in the top 10 in program history in career earned run average (eighth at 2.41) and appearances (tied for second with 70), and season appearances (tied for 10th with 26 in 2010). He was a part of two MIAA regular season and MIAA tournament championships, and two NCAA-II Regional Titles and College World Series appearances.

Kent played independent professional baseball with the American Association's Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks in 2010 in Fargo, North Dakota. He graduated from Central Missouri with a bachelor's degree in journalism and 2011 and a master's degree in Kinesiology in 2014. Kent is currently a Senior Academic Success Advisor for UCM.

The 2025 radio schedule will begin with UCM's three games in the Houston Winter Invitational Jan. 31 through Feb. 2 at Daikin Park, home of the Houston Astros, in downtown Houston, Texas. The Mules will face Ashland Friday, Jan. 31, at 5 p.m., Arkansas-Monticello Saturday, Feb. 1, at 1:30 p.m., and Jefferson Sunday, Feb. 2, at 1:30 p.m.

The remaining radio broadcast schedule is as follows (subject to change):
  • Sunday, March 2, vs. Pittsburg State, 1 p.m.
  • Saturday, March 29, vs. Fort Hays State, 2 p.m.
  • Sunday, March 30, vs. Fort Hays State, 1 p.m.
  • Saturday, April 5, vs. Emporia State, 2 p.m.
  • Sunday, April 6, vs. Emporia State, 1 p.m.
  • Saturday, April 12, vs. Central Oklahoma, 2 p.m.
  • Sunday, April 13, vs. Central Oklahoma, 1 p.m.
  • Saturday, April 26, vs. Northeastern State, 2 p.m.
  • Sunday, April 27, vs. Northeastern State, 1 p.m.
NOTE: All games listed above are played at Crane Stadium/Tompkins Field in Warrensburg.

In addition to the 12 regular season contests, all postseason game will air live on the radio.
