GREENSBORO, N.C. – University of Central Missouri Mules Baseball earned the American Baseball Coaches' Association (ABCA) Team Academic Excellence Award for their success in the classroom during the 2024-25 academic year, the organization announced Wednesday, July 23.
UCM was one of four MIAA baseball programs to earn the honor, as Fort Hays State, Rogers State and Washburn also received Team Academic Excellence Award recognition.
The ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award is given annually to honor high school and college teams that posted a GPA over 3.0 on a 4.0 scale for the academic year. This year, 300 high school programs and 440 collegiate programs were recognized with the award.
The Mules posted an overall record of 48-14 and captured the MIAA Regular Season and NCAA Division II Central Region Championships in 2025. In addition, UCM advanced to the Championship Series of the NCAA-II College World Series, finishing as the 2025 National Runner-Up.
