KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Brennen van Breusegen was voted the Player of the Year,
Conner Wolf was tabbed the Pitcher of the Year,
Jack Scott earned Co-Freshman of the Year and
Kyle Crookes garnered Coach of the Year accolades to highlight numerous All-MIAA postseason accolades for the 2024 MIAA Regular Season Champion Central Missouri Mules baseball team, it was announced Thursday, May 2, by the conference office.

Vance Tobol (DH) earned First Team All-MIAA honors while
Jake Wilson (SP),

Jack Schark (OF) were Second Team All-MIAA selections. Scott (SP) earned Third Team All-MIAA accolades while
Harrison Babbitt (RP) was an Honorable Mention All-MIAA recipient.
Van Breusegen (OF), Wolf (SP), Heath (C), Moore (2B) and Young (OF) all earned All-MIAA Gold Glove team honors for their defensive performance throughout the regular season.
A redshirt senior from Columbia, Ill., van Breusegen hit .395 in 48 games during the regular season, compiling 66 hits, 57 runs, 11 doubles, three triples, a team and MIAA-best 18 homers, 55 RBIs, a .820 slugging percentage, 28 walks, a .490 on-base percentage and 16 stolen bases. In addition, he has been stellar in the outfield this season, posting no errors on 99 chances while compiling three assists. Van Breusegen has 17 multi-hit and 13 multi-RBI games this season. He was named the 2024 Vernon Kennedy Male Senior Athlete of the Year. This is van Breusegen's second MIAA Player of the Year honor, as he was also the 2022 MIAA Player of the Year.
Wolf, a junior right-hander from Tipton, Mo., went a perfect 10-0 on the mound in 13 appearances and starts during the regular season, compiling a 3.82 ERA with four complete games, including two shutouts. In 73 innings pitched, Wolf has allowed just 31 earned runs on 59 hits with 69 strikeouts and only 14 walks.
A freshman right-hander from Olathe, Kan., Scott compiled a 4-0 record with a 3.37 ERA in 15 appearances and three starts during the regular season. He has given up only 13 earned runs on 30 hits with 29 strikeouts and just 13 walks in 34 2/3 innings of work this season.
Mules head coach
Kyle Crookes earned his fourth MIAA Coach of the Year honor after leading Central Missouri to their 30th MIAA Regular Season Championship in program history. Going into the MIAA Baseball Tournament Championship, UCM is 43-6 overall and wrapped up the MIAA regular season at 29-4. Crookes is the second-winningest coach in Mules' baseball history and has a career record of 389-129 (.751) in his 10 seasons as the skipper for Central Missouri.
The Mules are the number one seed in the 2024 MIAA Baseball Championship Tournament and will host No. 8 seed Fort Hays State in a best-of-three first round series May 3-5 at Crane Stadium/Tompkins Field in Warrensburg.
