SAN ANGELO, Texas – Trey Miller won the decathlon and
Kayla Goodwin finished third in the heptathlon pacing UCM track & field on day two of the David Noble Relays Friday, March 5, in San Angelo, Texas.
Miller, a redshirt senior from Clinton, Mo., posted a personal-best and provisional tally of 7,085 points to place first and post the ninth-best decathlon score in program history. In addition, his point total ranks fourth-best in NCAA-II this season. Miller posted top-three finishes in the javelin (first with a personal-best 49.56m), 110m hurdles (third with a personal-best 15.09) and discus (third at 35.25m) Friday to help secure his first place finish.

Logan Grover tallied a personal-best 5,909 points to finish seventh in the first decathlon of his collegiate career.
In the heptathlon, redshirt junior
Kayla Goodwin tallied a provisional 5,251 points to place third. Goodwin finished in the top-three in the javelin (second at 38.80m) and 800m run (third at 2:22.12) Friday. Competing in her first heptathlon,
Kristen Jones compiled a 14th place finish with a personal-best 3,917 points.
