VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – University of Central Missouri Mules Track & Field thrower
Landon Mason secured First Team All-America accolades in the men's weight throw to highlight the opening day of action for UCM Track & Field at the 2026 NCAA-II Indoor Championships Friday, March 13, inside the Virginia Beach Sports Center.
Throws
- Mason earned First Team All-American honors for the first time in his career after placing eighth in the men's weight throw with a mark of 20.28m (66-06.50). He's the ninth Mules thrower to earn First Team All-America honors in the event and the first since Nathan Liby in 2019.
Jumps
- Michenainda Aritus secured Honorable Mention All-America honors after placing 15th in the women's long jump with a mark of 5.70m (18-08.50).
Sprints/Hurdles
- Gracious Ushie earned Honorable Mention All-America honors after finishing in 18th place in the men's 60m dash with a time of 6.86.
Prelims
- Nolan Vancauwemberghe secured a spot in the men's 60m hurdles final after running 7.86 in the prelim to place third. The top eight qualifiers in the prelim advance to the final on Saturday.
- Grizell Scarlett earned spots in both the 60m and 200m dash finals, which are scheduled for Saturday. In the 60m dash prelim, Scarlett placed sixth with a time of 7.41, and she finished fifth in the 200m dash prelim with a time of 23.74.
The Mules & Jennies will wrap up the 2026 NCAA-II Indoor Championships on Saturday, March 14, in Virginia Beach.
