WARRENSBURG, Mo. – Three school records were set highlighting the annual UCM Outdoor Mule Relays for UCM track & field Friday, April 12, at Walton Stadium/Kennedy Field.
The Mules & Jennies 4x100m relays both set new school records while
Brooklynn Holtman established a new record in the women's 400m dash.
Relays
- The Jennies 4x100m relay of Anayla Waters, Brooklynn Holtman, Kylee Terry and Lenetta Lee posted a provisional and school record time of 46.05 to finish first.
- After setting a new school record last week, the Mules 4x100m relay team of Ariel Kerr, Brockton McLaughlin, Rawley Chard and Antonio Lay broke their own record, winning with a time of 39.96. That time is the top time in NCAA-II this season.
- The Jennies 4x400m relay team of Lee, Kayla Goodwin, Waters and Holtman finished first with a time of 3:51.32.
- The Mules 4x400m relay team of Trey Miller, McLaughlin, Chard and Michael James posted a time of 3:16.18 to place first.
Sprints/Hurdles
- Brooklynn Holtman and Anayla Waters finished first and third in the women's 400m dash. Holtman won the event with a school record time of 54.15. Her time is also a personal-best and NCAA-II provisional time. Waters placed third with a personal-best time of 57.03.
- Antonio Lay won the men's 200m dash with a provisional time of 20.92.
- Brayden Blackman finished first in the men's 400m hurdles with a time of 53.89.
- Rawley Chard ran a personal-best 48.42 to finish second in the men's 400m dash.
- Ariel Kerr ran 10.72 to win the men's 100m dash.
Distance
- Brian Mitei was runner-up in the men's 800m run with a time 1:53.19.
- Katie Bean ran 4:43.91 to place second in the women's 1,500m run. Bean also posted a top-three finish in the 800m run, finishing third with a time of 2:19.06.
- Luke Engel finished third in the men's 10,000m run with a personal-best time of 31:42.32.
Jumps
- Evans Yamoah won the men's high jump with a provisional mark of 2.17m (7-01.50).
- The Mules went second, third and fifth in the men's pole vault. Pierson Carlisle was runner-up with a mark of 4.72m (15-5.75), Trey Miller was third with an outdoor personal-best 4.42m (14-6.00 – first attempt), and Weston Edwards was fifth with a mark of 4.42m (14-6.00 – second attempt).
- Logan Grover and Preston May both posted top-five finishes in the long jump. Grover recorded a personal-best 6.75m (22-1.75) for fourth place while May was fifth with a mark of 6.73m (22-1.00).
- Maggie Klover placed fourth in the women's high jump with an outdoor personal-best mark of 1.58m (5-02.25).
- The Jennies went 1-2-3 in the women's triple jump. Kayla Goodwin won the event with a provisional mark of 12.33m (40-05.50), Maggie Klover was second with a provisional 12.08m (39-07.75), and Simone Green third with a mark of 11.77m (38-07.50).
- Malachi Howard finished fifth in the men's triple jump with a mark of 13.40m (43-11.75).
- Molly Greene placed fourth in the women's pole vault with a mark of 3.40m (11-01.75).
Throws
- Aiden Smith won the men's javelin with a personal-best and provisional mark of 60.20m (197-6). That mark is seventh best in school history. Michael Waldron was runner-up with a provisional 58.89m (193-3).
- Addison Snowball finished fifth in the men's hammer throw with a provisional and personal-best mark of 58.13m (190-9). Later in the day, Snowball won the discus with a provisional and personal-best mark of 58.06m (190-6). That mark is third-best in program history.
- The Jennies had a pair of top-five finishes in the javelin. Ally Fox was runner-up with a mark of 42.59m (139-9) while Laken Manns was fourth with a personal-best 39.92 (130-12).
UCM track & field returns to action Saturday, April 20, at the Pittsburg State Tune Up meet in Pittsburg, Kan.
