FIRST PITCH 
  • Central Missouri Jennies begin MIAA play on the road with a pair of doubleheaders against No. 16 Pittsburg State Gorillas (20-2, 0-0) on Saturday, March 9, before taking on the Missouri Southern Lions (16-5, 0-0) on Sunday, March 10, with first pitch scheduled for 1:00 p.m. both days.   
  • The Jens dropped both games of a doubleheader against the William Jewell Cardinals (12-8, 0-0) by final scores of 2-0 and 4-3 on Tuesday, March 5, from Cardinal Field in Liberty, Mo.

INDIVIDUAL MILESTONES
  • Redshirt senior MaKenzie Cooper became the latest member of the 100 Hit Club against the Northwest Missouri Bearcats (4/28/2023).  
  • Senior Aubrie McRoberts collected career hit number 100 against the Rockhurst Hawks (4/17/2023).
  • Redshirt junior Paige Petefish currently ranks fifth all-time in saves (six) while having the 11th most wins in the circle with 36.
  • Sophomore Carly Youngblood hit her first career home run in the top of the second inning in the 5-4 comeback victory over Illinois-Springfield (Feb. 9).
  • Freshman Brooke Weimer earned her first collegiate victory in the circle in a complete-game effort allowing six hits, four runs (three earned), while striking out 11 batters for good measure. 
  • Freshman Taylor Thompson delivered her first career home run which gave her career RBI one and two (scoring Jadyn Sheffield) in the bottom of the fourth inning against Truman State (Feb. 9).
 
SERIES HISTORY
  • No. 16 Pittsburg State: Ahead of Saturday's doubleheader in Pittsburg, the Jens lead the all-time series 54-29 dating back to the 1980 season following a UCM doubleheader sweep of the Gorillas last season in Warrensburg by final scores of 7-2 and 4-2.  
  • Missouri Southern: This will be the 108th and 109th all-time meetings between UCM and the Lions on Sunday afternoon with the Jens leading the overall series 64-43. Last season, Missouri Southern won both meetings in March of 2023.
 
UCM DURING the ANDERSON ERA
  • Susan Anderson enters her 18th season as head coach of the Jennies where she is the second winningest coach in program history with a record of 504-376 (.572) becoming just the second coach in program history to eclipse 500 wins doing so in game two of a double header against Fort Hays State (April 16, 2023) on Senior Day.
  • Since her return to Warrensburg in 2006, Anderson has made 14 MIAA tournament appearances, five regional tournaments and one Elite Eight appearance.
  • The 2015 Regional Coach of the Year has been named MIAA Coach of the Year three times in her career (twice named as head coach of the Jens) while coaching 18 first team All-MIAA selections, nine All-Region selections, two All-Americans and one MIAA MVP.
