FIRST PITCH 
  • Central Missouri Jennies returns to the diamond for a non-conference doubleheader against the William Jewell Cardinals (10-8, 0-0) on Tuesday, Mar. 5, with first pitch of game one scheduled for 2:00 p.m. from Cardinal Field in Liberty, Mo.  
  • The Jens went 3-1 at the Washburn Invitational highlighted by wins over Minot State by a final score of 4-3 (8 inn.) and Wayne State (Neb.) 7-5 on Saturday, Feb. 24 before a 4-2 victory over St. Cloud State on Sunday, Feb. 25 in Topeka, Kan.

INDIVIDUAL MILESTONES
  • Redshirt senior MaKenzie Cooper became the latest member of the 100 Hit Club against the Northwest Missouri Bearcats (4/28/2023).  
  • Senior Aubrie McRoberts collected career hit number 100 against the Rockhurst Hawks (4/17/2023).
  • Redshirt junior Paige Petefish currently ranks fifth all-time in saves (six) while having the 11th most wins in the circle with 36.
  • Sophomore Carly Youngblood hit her first career home run in the top of the second inning in the 5-4 comeback victory over Illinois-Springfield (Feb. 9).
  • Freshman Brooke Weimer earned her first collegiate victory in the circle in a complete-game effort allowing six hits, four runs (three earned), while striking out 11 batters for good measure. 
  • Freshman Taylor Thompson delivered her first career home run which gave her career RBI one and two (scoring Jadyn Sheffield) in the bottom of the fourth inning against Truman State (Feb. 9).
 
SERIES HISTORY
  • William Jewell: Ahead of Tuesday's doubleheader in Liberty, the Jens lead the all-time series over William Jewell 20-9 as UCM won both meetings a season ago in Warrensburg by final scores of 6-2 and 8-0 (5 inn.). The Cardinals are 5-3 in Liberty after winning both games of a doubleheader in March of 2020.
 
UCM DURING the ANDERSON ERA
  • Susan Anderson enters her 18th season as head coach of the Jennies where she is the second winningest coach in program history with a record of 504-376 (.572) becoming just the second coach in program history to eclipse 500 wins doing so in game two of a double header against Fort Hays State (April 16, 2023) on Senior Day.
  • Since her return to Warrensburg in 2006, Anderson has made 14 MIAA tournament appearances, five regional tournaments and one Elite Eight appearance.
  • The 2015 Regional Coach of the Year has been named MIAA Coach of the Year three times in her career (twice named as head coach of the Jens) while coaching 18 first team All-MIAA selections, nine All-Region selections, two All-Americans and one MIAA MVP.
