BOLIVAR, Mo. – University of Central Missouri track & field had a strong showing at the SBU Bearcat Invitational and the second day of the Central Methodist Invitational Saturday, March 30, in Bolivar, Mo., and Fayette, Mo.
SBU Bearcat Invitational (Bolivar)
Jumps/Javelin
- Michael Waldron finished third and posted a personal-best and provisional throw of 62.37m (204-8) in the men's javelin. His throw ranks second-best in school history. Aiden Smith was sixth with a personal-best and provisional mark of 58.87m (193-2), which ranks seventh-best in UCM history.
- Aly Fox and Kayla Goodwin both posted top-10 finishes in the women's javelin. Fox was eighth with a personal-best and provisional mark of 42.67m (140-0) while Goodwin was 10th with a mark of 39.97m (131-2). Fox's mark is fourth-best in school history.
- Charlie Garino placed seventh in the men's pole vault, clearing an outdoor personal-best height of 4.51m (14-09.50).
- Loch Louis finished ninth in the men's long jump with a personal-best mark of 6.88m (22-7).
- Simone Green placed fifth in the women's triple jump with a mark of 11.46m (37-07.25).
- Malachi Howard was runner-up in the men's triple jump with a personal-best mark of 13.75m (45-1.50).
Distance
- Katie Bean was runner-up in the women's 1,500m run with a time of 4:45.65.
- Evan Finger placed sixth in the men's 1,500m run with a personal-best time of 3:58.24.
Sprints/Hurdles
- Brooklynn Holtman placed third in the women's 100m dash with a personal-best time of 12.00. Her time is seventh-fastest in school history.
- Ariel Kerr was second in the men's 100m dash with a time of 10.74.
- Rawley Chard placed second in the men's 400m dash with a personal-best time of 48.64.
- Jazmin Corbin recorded a top-10 finish in the women's 400m hurdles, posting a personal-best time of 1:10.76 to place ninth.
- Brayden Blackman finished fifth in the men's 400m hurdles with a time of 56.15.
- Brockton McLaughlin posted a top-five finish in the men's 200m dash, placing fifth with a time of 21.69.
Relays
Central Methodist Invitational Day Two (Fayette)
Throws
- Addison Snowball won the men's discus with a provisional throw of 54.98m (180-4). Fellow Mule Demarcus Kelow was third with a personal-best mark of 48.10m (157-10), and Ryan Jones also finished in the top-five of the discus, placing fifth with a personal-best 43.55m (142-10). Garron Blair was sixth with a personal-best mark of 42.31m (138-10).
- Laken Manns was runner-up in the women's discus with a personal-best mark of 40.67m (133-5). Fellow Jenny Marley Sands placed sixth with a personal-best 37.80m (124-0). Â
- Manns was fourth in the women's shot put with a personal-best 12.72m (41-8.75).
- Jones placed fourth in the men's shot put with a personal-best 14.15m (46-5.25).
UCM track & field is slated to return to action April 4-5 at the David Noble Relays in San Angelo, Texas.
