FIRST PITCH 
  • Central Missouri Jennies softball returns to the diamond for a pair of MIAA doubleheaders on the road against No. 3 Rogers State Hillcats (26-4, 10-0 MIAA) on Friday, March 29 beginning at 3:00 p.m. from the Diamond Sports Complex in Claremore, Okla. before taking on the Northeastern State RiverHawks (5-22, 0-10 MIAA) on Saturday, March 30 with first pitch of game one slated for 12:00 p.m. from RiverHawks Park in Tahlequah, Okla.     
  • The Jens swept a pair of games against the Missouri – St. Louis Tritons by final scores of 6-3 and 2-1 on Tuesday afternoon from UMSL Softball Field in St. Louis, Mo.

INDIVIDUAL MILESTONES
  • Freshman Taylor Thompson delivered her first career multi-homer affair in game one of a doubleheader against the Emporia State Hornets (March 23) as she drove in a career-best five RBI and scored twice going a perfect 4-for-4 at the dish.
  • Junior Laney Killpack belted her first career homerun leading off the bottom of the third inning in an 8-0 (5 inn.) victory over the Lincoln Blue Tigers (March 19).
  • Junior Hayden Serna hit her first career round-tripper in the bottom of the third inning on Tuesday, March 19 during an 8-0 (5 inn.) win in game one of a doubleheader against the Lincoln Blue Tigers.
  • Redshirt junior Paige Petefish recorded her first career no-hitter against the Lincoln Blue Tigers (March 19) in an 8-0 shutout win (5 inn.) striking out nine batters. Petefish currently ranks fifth all-time in saves (six) while her 40 wins in the circle is tied for seventh-most in program history.
  • Sophomore Andi Siebeneck collected her first career save in a 2-1 victory over the Bemidji State Beavers (March 15) tossing one hit-less inning of relief striking out one. 
  • Redshirt junior Breanna Newton hit her first home run as a Jen in game two of a doubleheader against No. 16 Pittsburg State (March 9).
  • Sophomore Carly Youngblood hit her first career home run in the top of the second inning in the 5-4 comeback victory over Illinois-Springfield (Feb. 9).
  • Freshman Brooke Weimer earned her first collegiate victory in the circle in a complete-game effort allowing six hits, four runs (three earned), while striking out 11 batters against Illinois-Springfield (Feb. 9) in a 5-4 victory. 
  • Redshirt senior MaKenzie Cooper became the latest member of the 100 Hit Club against the Northwest Missouri Bearcats (4/28/2023).  
  • Senior Aubrie McRoberts collected career hit number 100 against the Rockhurst Hawks (4/17/2023).
 
SERIES HISTORY
  • No. 3 Rogers State: Ahead of Friday's doubleheader against the Hillcats, RSU leads the all-time series 8-3 including a mark of 5-1 in Claremore. In April of 2023, the Hillcats won both contests in Warrensburg by final scores of 2-1 and 7-2 at Jennies Field.  
  • Northeastern State: Saturday will be meetings 27 and 28 between NSU and the Jens dating back to the 1979 season with the RiverHawks holding a 6-4 advantage in Tahlequah. The Jens swept last season's doubleheader winning by final scores of 7-1 and 4-0 in Warrensburg.
 
UCM DURING the ANDERSON ERA
  • Susan Anderson enters her 18th season as head coach of the Jennies where she is the second winningest coach in program history with a record of 504-376 (.572) becoming just the second coach in program history to eclipse 500 wins doing so in game two of a double header against Fort Hays State (April 16, 2023) on Senior Day.
  • Since her return to Warrensburg in 2006, Anderson has made 14 MIAA tournament appearances, five regional tournaments and one Elite Eight appearance.
  • The 2015 Regional Coach of the Year has been named MIAA Coach of the Year three times in her career (twice named as head coach of the Jens) while coaching 18 first team All-MIAA selections, nine All-Region selections, two All-Americans and one MIAA MVP.
