WARRENSBURG, Mo. – Chase Wilcox homered twice as the No. 3-ranked Central Missouri Mules posted a 10-6 win over the Quincy Hawks in a midweek non-conference game Tuesday, March 19, at Crane Stadium/Tompkins Field.
The Mules (23-4, 11-2 MIAA) are scheduled to host Fort Hays State (18-9, 6-7 MIAA) in a three-game MIAA series in Warrensburg March 22-24.
A sophomore from Kansas City, Mo., Wilcox went 3-for-5 on the day with four RBIs, including belting the first two home runs of his collegiate career, while
Max Holy was 2-for-3 with a triple.

Vance Tobol (triple also had extra-base hits in the game, rounding out the UCM leaders at the plate.
Wilcox recorded the first homer of his collegiate career on a solo shot to left field in the first inning before crushing a two-run round-tripper down the left field line in the sixth.
UCM reliever
Jericho Badwan (1-0) picked up the win on the mound after throwing a third of an inning and allowing no earned runs on no hits.
Dustin Dupont and Austin Simpson both had two hits, including doubles, pacing Quincy (7-13) offensively.
Hawk starter Kade Ruffner (0-5) took the loss on the rubber, giving up six runs – five earned – on six hits with four strikeouts and four walks in 4 1/3 innings.
