FIRST PITCH 
  • Central Missouri Jennies softball continues a 12-game homestand with a MIAA doubleheader on Tuesday, March 19 against the Lincoln Blue Tigers (8-14, 0-4 MIAA) beginning at 3:00 p.m. from Jennies Field at the South Recreation Complex in Warrensburg.   
  • Tuesday's contests with the Blue Tigers is Social Media Night, where fans who attend the game (free admission for all fans) can post on either Facebook, X, or Instagram with #RollJens. All posts will be eligible to win a $25 gift card from a UCM Athletics participating sponsor! Giveaways will be held during both games of the doubleheader in the third and fifth innings.
  • This past week, the Jens went 3-3 after splitting a doubleheader with the Southwest Baptist Bearcats (Tuesday, March 12) winning 5-4 before falling 2-1 (5 inn.), dropping both games against MSU – Moorhead (Thursday, March 14) 5-2 and 0-2, and sweeping Bemidji State (Friday, March 15) 3-0 and 2-1 from Jennies Field at the South Recreation Complex in Warrensburg.

INDIVIDUAL MILESTONES
  • Redshirt senior MaKenzie Cooper became the latest member of the 100 Hit Club against the Northwest Missouri Bearcats (4/28/2023).  
  • Senior Aubrie McRoberts collected career hit number 100 against the Rockhurst Hawks (4/17/2023).
  • Redshirt junior Paige Petefish currently ranks fifth all-time in saves (six) while her 38 wins in the circle is tied for ninth with Megan Leonard (2008-09).
  • Sophomore Carly Youngblood hit her first career home run in the top of the second inning in the 5-4 comeback victory over Illinois-Springfield (Feb. 9).
  • Freshman Brooke Weimer earned her first collegiate victory in the circle in a complete-game effort allowing six hits, four runs (three earned), while striking out 11 batters against Illinois-Springfield (Feb. 9) in a 5-4 victory. 
  • Freshman Taylor Thompson delivered her first career home run which gave her career RBI one and two (scoring Jadyn Sheffield) in the bottom of the fourth inning against Truman State (Feb. 9).
  • Redshirt junior Breanna Newton hit her first homerun as a Jen in game two of a doubleheader against No. 16 Pittsburg State (March 9).
  • Sophomore Andi Siebeneck collected her first career save in a 2-1 victory over the Bemidji State Beavers (March 15) tossing one hit-less inning of relief striking out one.  
 
SERIES HISTORY
  • Lincoln: Tuesday's contests will be games 74 and 75 all-time between the Blue Tigers and UCM dating back to the 1983 season as the Jennies have a record of 29-1 in Warrensburg. Last season in Jefferson City, Central Missouri swept a doubleheader against the Blue Tigers winning 14-3 and 10-0 on Tuesday, April 4 from Vogel Field.

  • Susan Anderson enters her 18th season as head coach of the Jennies where she is the second winningest coach in program history with a record of 504-376 (.572) becoming just the second coach in program history to eclipse 500 wins doing so in game two of a double header against Fort Hays State (April 16, 2023) on Senior Day.
  • Since her return to Warrensburg in 2006, Anderson has made 14 MIAA tournament appearances, five regional tournaments and one Elite Eight appearance.
  • The 2015 Regional Coach of the Year has been named MIAA Coach of the Year three times in her career (twice named as head coach of the Jens) while coaching 18 first team All-MIAA selections, nine All-Region selections, two All-Americans and one MIAA MVP.
