FIRST PITCH 
  • Central Missouri Jennies begin a 12-game homestand with a trio of doubleheaders starting Tuesday, March 12 as they host the Southwest Baptist Bearcats (10-10, 0-0 GLVC), followed by a pair of games against MSU-Moorhead (8-6, 0-0 NSIC) on Thursday, March 14 and a doubleheader against the Bemidji State Beavers (6-11, 0-0 NSIC) on Friday, March 15 as first pitch for all three days is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. from Jennies Field at the South Recreation Complex in Warrensburg.   
  • This past weekend, the Jens went 1-3 on the road dropping both games of a doubleheader with No. 16 Pittsburg State by final scores of 4-2 and 10-4 before splitting a pair of games with the Missouri Southern Lions winning game one 2-1 before falling in game two 8-0 (6 inn.).

INDIVIDUAL MILESTONES
  • Redshirt senior MaKenzie Cooper became the latest member of the 100 Hit Club against the Northwest Missouri Bearcats (4/28/2023).  
  • Senior Aubrie McRoberts collected career hit number 100 against the Rockhurst Hawks (4/17/2023).
  • Redshirt junior Paige Petefish currently ranks fifth all-time in saves (six) while her 38 wins in the circle is tied for ninth with Megan Leonard (2008-09).
  • Sophomore Carly Youngblood hit her first career home run in the top of the second inning in the 5-4 comeback victory over Illinois-Springfield (Feb. 9).
  • Freshman Brooke Weimer earned her first collegiate victory in the circle in a complete-game effort allowing six hits, four runs (three earned), while striking out 11 batters against Illinois-Springfield (Feb. 9) in a 5-4 victory. 
  • Freshman Taylor Thompson delivered her first career home run which gave her career RBI one and two (scoring Jadyn Sheffield) in the bottom of the fourth inning against Truman State (Feb. 9).
  • Redshirt junior Breanna Newton hit her first homerun as a Jen in game two of a doubleheader against No. 16 Pittsburg State (March 9).
 
SERIES HISTORY
  • Southwest Baptist: Ahead of Tuesday's doubleheader with the Bearcats, Central Missouri holds an 87-22 advantage all-time including a mark of 27-14 in Warrensburg. Last season, the Jens won both contests against SBU by final scores of 8-1 and 8-7 on Sunday, March 5 in the final day of the MIAA / GLVC Crossover from Gene Bicknell Sports Complex in Pittsburg, Kan.
  • MSU-Moorhead: Thursday will be the sixth and seventh all-time meetings between the Dragons and UCM dating back to the 2005 season as UCM has a perfect 5-0 record. The latest contest came in the 2009 season where the Jennies won 10-0 on March 16th.
  • Bemidji State: Friday's doubleheader will be the first two contests between the Beavers and Jennies.
  
UCM DURING the ANDERSON ERA
  • Susan Anderson enters her 18th season as head coach of the Jennies where she is the second winningest coach in program history with a record of 504-376 (.572) becoming just the second coach in program history to eclipse 500 wins doing so in game two of a double header against Fort Hays State (April 16, 2023) on Senior Day.
  • Since her return to Warrensburg in 2006, Anderson has made 14 MIAA tournament appearances, five regional tournaments and one Elite Eight appearance.
  • The 2015 Regional Coach of the Year has been named MIAA Coach of the Year three times in her career (twice named as head coach of the Jens) while coaching 18 first team All-MIAA selections, nine All-Region selections, two All-Americans and one MIAA MVP.
