PITTSBURG, Kan. – Brooklynn Holtman set a new school record in the 200m dash to highlight the opening day of action for UCM track & field at the Pittsburg State Gorilla Classic Friday, Feb. 9, at the Robert W. Plaster Center.

Sprints/Hurdles

• Holtman ran a personal-best and school record 24.13 to win the women's 200m dash. Her time also ranks seventh-fastest in NCAA-II this season.
• Isaak Rasche, Connor McKee and Brayden Blackman all posted personal best times in the men's 600-yard run. Rasche ran 1:12.81 to finish fourth while McKee with eighth at 1:13.47 and Blackman was 16th at 1:15.08.
• Karoline Kolie and Ella Jett both ran personal bests in the women's 600-yard run. Kolie posted a time of 1:31.90, placing 14th, while Jett ran 1:33.15 for 16th.

Distance

• Three Mules all set personal bests in the men's 5,000m run. Bryan O'Barr finished fifth with a time of 14:40.97, Colton Palmer was 13th at 14:56.07 and Luke Engel was 28th at 15:11.82.

Throws

• Rachael Molloy was runner-up in the women's weight throw with a provisional mark of 18.51m (60-9). Her mark ranks 12th in Division II this season.
• Madison Mears recorded a personal best in the weight throw, finishing 26th at 14.63m (48-0).

Jumps/Pole Vault

• Carter Bell won the men's high jump open division with a personal best mark of 2.00m (6-6.75).
• Molly Greene finished second in the women's pole vault open division, clearing a personal best 3.50m (11-5.75).
• Therese Reindl cleared a personal best height of 1.62m (5-3-75) to place fifth in the women's high jump open division.
• Kristen Jones place eighth in the women's long jump with a personal best mark of 5.56m (18-3).

The second and final day of the Gorilla Classic is slated for Saturday, Feb. 10.
