FIRST PITCH 
  • Central Missouri Jennies softball begins the 2024 season at the Alvy Early Memorial Classic with a pair of double headers beginning on Friday, Feb. 9 against Truman State (11:00 a.m.) and Illinois-Springfield (1:30 p.m.) before taking on Missouri S&T (11:00 a.m.) and Southeastern Oklahoma State (1:30 p.m.) on Saturday, Feb. 10 from Memorial Park in Bentonville, Ark.
  • Last season, the Jens finished with an overall record of 33-21 including 16-10 in MIAA play making their 38th appearance at the conference tournament.

  • Last season the Jens batted .299 scoring 267 runs averaging five runs per contest while limiting their opponents to a .268 batting average.
  • Central Missouri had a team ERA of 3.67 and a fielding percentage of .970 for good measure.   
 
INDIVIDUAL MILESTONES
  • Redshirt senior MaKenzie Cooper has a career batting average of .334 which ranks 14th in program history while becoming the latest member of the 100 Hit Club doing so against the Northwest Missouri Bearcats (4/28/2023).  
  • Senior Aubrie McRoberts collected career hit number 100 against the Rockhurst Hawks (4/17/2023).
  • Redshirt junior Paige Petefish currently ranks six all-time in saves (five) while having the 11th most wins (36) in the circle.
 
SERIES HISTORY
  • Truman State: Friday will be the 109th matchup between the Bulldogs and Jennies with UCM holding a 62-47 advantage following an 8-5 (3/4/2023) victory in their lone meeting last season.
  • Illinois-Springfield: This will be the seventh all-time meeting between UCM and Illinois-Springfield with the latest matchup coming in the 2019 season as the Jens won 13-9 in Peoria, Ill.
  • Missouri S&T: Ahead of Saturday's contest, the Jens have an overall record of 56-23 against Missouri S&T including an 18-6 advantage in neutral site games. Last season, Central Missouri swept all three meetings including day one of the MIAA/GLVC Crossover in Pittsburg, Kan. by a final score of 5-3.
  • Southeastern Oklahoma State: This will be the 13th meeting between Central Missouri and the Savage Storm with the last time coming in 2018 as Southeastern Oklahoma State won 2-1 in Durant, Okla.
 
UCM DURING the ANDERSON ERA
  • Susan Anderson enters her 18th season as head coach of the Jennies where she is the second winningest coach in program history with a record of 504-376 (.572) becoming just the second coach in program history to eclipse 500 wins doing so in game two of a double header against Fort Hays State (April 16, 2023) on Senior Day.
  • Since her return to Warrensburg in 2006, Anderson has made 14 MIAA tournament appearances, five regional tournament appearances and one Elite Eight appearance.
  • The 2015 Regional Coach of the Year has been named MIAA Coach of the Year three times in her career (twice named as head coach of the Jens) while coaching 18 first team All-MIAA selections, nine All-Region selections, two All-Americans and one MIAA MVP.
