WARRENSBURG, Mo. – No. 3-ranked Central Missouri Mules baseball fell to No. 9-ranked Central Oklahoma, 17-7 in eight innings, in the series finale of a three-game MIAA series Sunday, Feb. 25, at Crane Stadium/Tompkins Field.
The Mules (11-3, 2-1 MIAA) are scheduled to travel to St. Louis for a midweek game at Maryville University Tuesday, Feb. 27, at 2 p.m.
Chase Heath,
Ayden Blachowicz and
Jacob Steele all homered, with Heath also tallying three RBIs, pacing UCM at the plate for the game.
Starting pitcher
Jonah Walker (1-1) suffered the loss on the mound for Central Missouri after allowing three runs – two earned – on one hit with two strikeouts and three walks in one inning.
Garrett Long went 3-for-4 with five RBIs and a double, pacing Central Oklahoma (12-2, 1-2 MIAA).
Broncho starting pitcher Brett Pense (4-0) earned the win on the rubber, giving up no earned runs on two hits with two strikeouts and three walks in six innings of work.
