FIRST PITCH 
  • Central Missouri Jennies continue play at the Raising Cane's Softball Festival with a pair of doubleheaders on Friday, Feb. 16, against Southeastern Oklahoma State (10:30 a.m.) and Missouri S&T (6:00 p.m.) before taking on Southern Nazarene (12:30 p.m.) and No. 23 Southern Arkansas (6:00 p.m.) on Saturday, Feb. 17 followed by a meeting with Oklahoma Baptist (3:00 p.m.) on Sunday, Feb. 18.
  • Last weekend, the Jens went 2-2 at the Alvy Early Memorial Classic in Bentonville, Ark. including wins over Illinois-Springfield (5-4) and Southeastern Oklahoma State (3-2).

INDIVIDUAL MILESTONES
  • Redshirt senior MaKenzie Cooper became the latest member of the 100 Hit Club against the Northwest Missouri Bearcats (4/28/2023).  
  • Senior Aubrie McRoberts collected career hit number 100 against the Rockhurst Hawks (4/17/2023).
  • Redshirt junior Paige Petefish currently ranks fifth all-time in saves (six) while having the 11th most wins in the circle with 36.
  • Sophomore Carly Youngblood hit her first career home run in the top of the second inning in the 5-4 comeback victory over Illinois-Springfield (Feb. 9).
  • Freshman Brooke Weimer earned her first collegiate victory in the circle in a complete-game effort allowing six hits, four runs (three earned), while striking out 11 batters for good measure.  
  • Freshman Taylor Thompson delivered her first career home run which gave her career RBI one and two (scoring Jadyn Sheffield) in the bottom of the fourth inning against Truman State (Feb. 9).
 
SERIES HISTORY
  • Missouri S&T: Ahead of Friday's contest, the Jens have an overall record of 56-24 against Missouri S&T including an 18-7 advantage in neutral site games. Last weekend in Bentonville, Ark., the Miners won 5-4 (8 inn.) in the final day of the Alvy Early Memorial Classic.  
  • Southeastern Oklahoma State: This will be the 14th meeting between Central Missouri and the Savage Storm with the last time coming in the final game of the Alvy Early Memorial Classic as the Jens won 3-2.
  • Southern Nazarene: Saturday will be the fourth all-time meeting between the Central Missouri and the Crimson Storm with the last matchup resulting in a 3-2 Jens win in February of 2017.
  • #23 Southern Arkansas: This will be the eighth meeting between the Muleriders and UCM dating back to the 2009 season. The Jens hold a 4-3 record including a 2-1 victory during the 2021 NCAA Central Region Semifinals (May 21).
  • Oklahoma Baptist: Sunday marks the fourth meeting all-time between the Bison and Central Missouri as the Jens have won the three previous contests including an 8-5 win in their last matchup in March of 2007.   
 
UCM DURING the ANDERSON ERA
  • Susan Anderson enters her 18th season as head coach of the Jennies where she is the second winningest coach in program history with a record of 504-376 (.572) becoming just the second coach in program history to eclipse 500 wins doing so in game two of a double header against Fort Hays State (April 16, 2023) on Senior Day.
  • Since her return to Warrensburg in 2006, Anderson has made 14 MIAA tournament appearances, five regional tournaments and one Elite Eight appearance.
  • The 2015 Regional Coach of the Year has been named MIAA Coach of the Year three times in her career (twice named as head coach of the Jens) while coaching 18 first team All-MIAA selections, nine All-Region selections, two All-Americans and one MIAA MVP.
