TIP OFF 
  • Central Missouri Mules basketball continues the 2024-25 season as they take part in the River City Holiday Classic beginning Tuesday, Dec. 17, against the Texas Permian Basin Falcons (7-2, 4-1 LSC) before a matchup with No. 9 North Georgia Nighthawks (9-1, 1-0 PBC) on Wednesday, Dec. 18, with both contests scheduled for 11:00 a.m. from the Northeast ISD Sports Gym in San Antonio, Texas.
  • The Mules split the opening two games of MIAA play falling to the Fort Hays State Tigers by a final score of 70-67 in double-overtime on Thursday, Dec. 5, inside Gross Memorial Coliseum in Hays, Kan. before defeating the Nebraska-Kearney Lopers by a final score of 59-57 on Saturday, Dec. 7, inside the Health & Sports Center in Kearney, Neb.
  • This is the 119th season of Central Missouri Basketball as the Mules are the third winningest program in Division II with 1,768 victories having won two NCAA Men's National Championships (1984 & 2014) and four National Championships (1937 & 1938 NAIB) overall.
 
 ON THE AIR 
  • Both games will be broadcasted on 1450 KOKO, 98.5 The Bar and warrensburgradio.com with Voice of the Mules Greg Hassler and former Mules Basketball Head Coach Kim Anderson on the call.
  • Both contests will be available on a pay-per-view basis through the MIAA Network with coverage beginning at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings from Northeast ISD Sports Gym in San Antonio, Texas.
 
MEET THE MULES
  • Adam Bohac enters his second season as head coach of the Mules after finishing last season with a 13-15 overall record including 8-14 in the MIAA highlighted by two All-Conference performers in Tim Jordan Jr. (Honorable Mention) and Jordan Hayes (All Defensive Team).
  • The Mules are coming into the 2024-25 campaign with seven of their 14 student-athletes having never stepped on the court for UCM.
  • Central Missouri returns six players from last year's team including guard Corey Skillman Jr. while returning forwards Tim Jordan Jr., Jack Chapman, Yafet Haile, Noah Martin, and Josh Nwankwo. 
  • The Mules brought in Division I transfer KJ Lee (Western Illinois), plus, Division II additions in DeAirius Barker (Charleston), Eain Mowat (Southern Nazarene), and Elijah Farr (Lincoln).
  • Central Missouri added three freshmen in guards Kyran Tilley (Louisville, Ky.) and Jake Fritz (Overland Park, Kan.), plus, forward Kyree Polk (Denver, Colo.).
 
LAST TIME OUT 
  • The Central Missouri Mules (5-4, 1-1 MIAA) defeated the Nebraska-Kearney Lopers (1-7, 0-2 MIAA) by a final score of 59-57 on Saturday, Dec. 7, inside the Health & Sports Center in Kearney, Neb.
  • The Mules trailed by five at the break as freshman Kyran Tilley (game-high 13 points, two rebounds, and two steals overall) led the way for Central Missouri with eight points going 3-of-8 from the floor including 2-of-3 from beyond the arc.
  • Nebraska-Kearney began the second half on an 8-2 run and led by as many as 13, but the Mules responded with a 15-0 run taking a two-point lead with a triple from Corey Skillman Jr. (six points and two steals overall) and never relinquished picking up their fifth win of the season.
  • Guards DeAirius Barker (two assists and two steals) and KJ Lee (team-high six rebounds and three blocks) collected 10 points each holding the Lopers to just four points in the final four minutes of play.
  • Elijah Farr (five rebounds) and sophomore Tim Jordan Jr. (two rebounds) had six points each, while forwards Josh Nwankwo (five rebounds) and Jack Chapman (four rebounds) added four points in the winning effort.
 
 UCM BY THE NUMBERS 
  • Through nine contests this season, the Mules are averaging 68 points per game while shooting 42.4 percent from the field, including 34 percent from beyond the arc and 76.7 percent from the charity stripe.
  • Central Missouri is averaging 31.3 rebounds, 10.6 assists, eight steals, and three blocks per contest so far this season.
  • The Mules feature three players averaging 10 points or more per game this season including senior DeAirius Barker (13.8 points, 2.4 assists, and 2.2 rebounds), forward Tim Jordan Jr. (11.8 points and 3.2 rebounds), and freshman Kyran Tilley (10 points, two rebounds).
