WARRENSBURG, Mo. – No. 16-ranked Central Missouri Jennies basketball was outscored in the fourth quarter, 28-21, resulting in a 76-68 setback to the Northwest Missouri State Bearcats Thursday, Jan. 25, inside the UCM Multipurpose Building.
The Jennies (14-4, 8-4 MIAA) are scheduled to host Missouri Western in a MIAA game Saturday, Jan. 27, at 1 p.m. in Warrensburg.
Brooke Littrell netted 16 points and seven rebounds,
Olivia Nelson added 15 points and four steals, and
Allie Clevenger compiled 11 points, leading Central Missouri in the contest.
UCM shot 43 percent from the field (23-of-53), but were just 2-of-14 from three-point range for 14 percent. The Jennies made 20 of 22 free-throw attempts for 91 percent.
Northwest Missouri (14-4, 8-4 MIAA) outrebounded UCM, 34-28. Both teams scored 38 points in the paint, with Central Missouri outscoring the Bearcats in points off turnovers, 22-8.
Molly Hartnett led Northwest Missouri in the game with 21 points.
