WARRENSBURG, Mo. – The No. 16-ranked Central Missouri Jennies basketball team dropped a 77-69 decision to the Missouri Western Griffons Saturday afternoon, Jan. 27, inside the UCM Multipurpose Building.
The Jennies (14-5, 8-5 MIAA) are scheduled to host Lincoln in a MIAA contest Saturday, Feb. 3, at 1 p.m. in Warrensburg.
Olivia Nelson netted 17 points and dished out four assists,
Ashley Tull added 16 points and eight rebounds, and
Brooke Littrell had 15 points and seven rebounds, leading Central Missouri.
For the game, UCM shot 42 percent from the field (28-of-67) but were just 3-of-20 from three-point range (15 percent) and 10-of-17 at the free-throw line (59 percent).
The Jennies outrebounded the Griffons (15-4, 10-3 MIAA), 42-32. Both teams compiled 40 points in the paint, but Missouri Western had a 21-16 advantage in points off turnovers.
Connie Clarke had 13 points pacing the Griffons.
